Matchmaker Productions Presents: THE CONCIERGE OF VANCOUVER
The Concierge of Vancouver is the world premiere of a play satirizing the Vancouver housing crisis and looks at the consequences of skyrocketing real estate prices and living costs.. An expensive condo building in Coal Harbour, barely occupied... a reclusive donor, giving away millions of dollars each year to fund worthy causes... and, an international bank under scrutiny by a tenacious reporter... What is the connection?
This brand new comedy features Art Kitching ("Al", a concierge), Elizabeth Kirkland ("Agnes", a determined reporter), Sharon Crandall ("Samantha", a banking executive) and Betty Mitchell Award winner Frank Zotter ("Fred", a smooth talking PR specialist).
The Concierge of Vancouver is a larger than life comedy directed by Ian Farthing, a Prix Rideau Award winner. It is the second in a trilogy of plays by local writer Shaul Ezer.
Matchmaker Productions is a Vancouver based company that has most recently produced The Masks of Oscar Wilde at the 2014 Vancouver Fringe Festival. The company is transitioning into Matchmaker Arts Society; a not-for-profit organization.
