The Hollywood Wilshire YMCA will celebrate its 10th annual Comedy For A Cause fundraiser. Comedy For A Cause brings together acclaimed comedians who volunteer their time and talent to showcase a line-up of stand-up comedy in support of the Hollywood Y's youth programs, which are dedicated to instilling leadership qualities in its community's children. The event will take place at the Sunset Strip's world-famous Laugh Factory in Hollywood from 8 - 10 p.m. tonight, Oct. 22.

According to Deadline, NBC has cancelled its struggling freshman series WELCOME TO THE FAMILY, starring Mike O'Malley and Mary McCormack, and its reboot of IRONSIDE, lead by Blair Underwood. FAMILY's cancellation is effective immediately, while IRONSIDE will air one additional episode next Wednesday, Oct. 23.

The Phoenix, the new theatre company founded by long-time PICT artistic director and founder Andrew Paul and Pittsburgh Playwrights Theatre founder and former director of theatre initiatives at the August Wilson Center, Mark Clayton Southers, will debut with a four week run of Joe Penhall's provocative, caustically funny, Olivier Award-winning play Blue/Orange. The production will star acclaimed actors David Whalen, Sam Tsoutsouvas, and newcomer Rico Parker, with direction by Andrew Paul and scenic design by Mark Clayton Southers. Blue/Orange, sponsored by founding Phoenix Board Member and noted arts philanthropist Richard E. Rauh, plays November 1-23, 2013 at the Pittsburgh Playwrights Theatre, 937 Liberty Avenue in downtown Pittsburgh.

Second Stage begins previews for its production of Little Miss Sunshine tonight at 7pm. This new musical is based on the film of the same name by Michael Arndt. It was adapted for the stage by James Lapine, who wrote the book, and William Finn, who wrote the lyrics and music. Lapine and Finn also worked together on The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and Falsettos. Little Miss Sunshine will run until Dec 8.

24-year-old Irish girl Fiona O'Malley, 23-year old Adam Wollerton from Yorkshire, 22-year old Rachel Kelly from Glasgow and 25-year old Joseph Alexander are bringing their highly- praised musical production to an off West End venue following a performance at the 900- seater Rose Theatre and sell-out three day run at the IYAF festival in July. The Daily Fail: the Musical will be performed seven times over six days, from today 15th through the 20th October at Waterloo East Theatre in Central London.
