Untold Theatre's THE DAILY FAIL: THE MUSICAL! Comes to Waterloo East Theatre, Now thru Oct 20

24-year-old Irish girl Fiona O'Malley, 23-year old Adam Wollerton from Yorkshire, 22-year old Rachel Kelly from Glasgow and 25-year old Joseph Alexander are bringing their highly- praised musical production to an off West End venue following a performance at the 900- seater Rose Theatre and sell-out three day run at the IYAF festival in July. The Daily Fail: the Musical will be performed seven times over six days, from today 15th through the 20th October at Waterloo East Theatre in Central London.

"We hope to bring it to other theatres in central London after Waterloo East. We're absolutely overwhelmed by the feedback from the Rose Theatre performance and our sold-out running at IYAF. The audiences loved it. They clapped and laughed at the right moments. Since the IYAF running, we've taken out two songs, shaved 20 minutes off the script and added a new song and scene. We've got new cast and they are triple threats: they can all sing, act and dance to a world-class level. Overall the production is stronger, tighter and bigger now and I'm confident that it will be well-received in central London! The composer, Joseph Alexander; choreographer, Rachel Kelly; director, Adam Wollerton; and the writer, yours truly, have the same work ethic with a commitment to excellence so the creative team is strong and determined to make it a success! The Daily Fail is a new, original comedy musical which takes a satirical look at the Leveson Inquiry hacking scandal and the nature of modern media and fame. The story is about two girls, London and Dim, who are desperate to be famous at any cost but the only problem is they don't have any talent. They find themselves in hell when they become famous at the granted wish of their Fairy Godmother (Rupert Murdoch) and cannot handle the pressure of fame nor the pressure of the press. Featuring hit songs such as 'Hugh Grant Is My Ideal Man', 'We Could Be Famous', 'Making A Sex Tape' and 'Seven Deadly Press Sins', this Musical is the talk of new theatre in London!

Fiona O'Malley MA
Co-founder of UTC, Writer & co-producer
Studied languages in NUIG and furthered her education to a Masters level at Kingston University in Journalism. She has worked for VOGUE Magazine, The Sunday Times, The Observer, The Guardian and The Irish Times. Recent credits include managing her own columns in reputable papers & magazines and she devotes her spare time to writing theatre, films and novels.

Adam Wollerton MA
Co-founder of UTC, Director & co-producer
Graduated from West End Stage School in 2010 and furthered his education to a Masters level at Kingston University in Classical Theatre. He also has a Grade 8 Musical Theatre Singing Qualification with London College of Music. Recent credits include 'Four by Four' (Camden Festival 2012), 'Dream' (IYAF 2012), and 'Lady From The Sea' (The Rose Theatre, 2012)

Joseph Alexander
Composer
Composes for advertising, television, film and theatre. Alexander began his career in music as a touring musician in 2005, achieving success in the UK, Europe and USA. Collaboration and experimenting with groups, bands and artists, meant he was exposed to various genres/styles as well as composition techniques that came with it. He recently had his first choral work premiere in Hampton, London and has also been commissioned by The U3A Orchestra to compose a piece for Spring 2014.

Rachel Kelly
Choreographer
Originally from Glasgow, Rachel trained at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts, graduating last July. Performing credits include - As You Like It, It's A Wonderful Life, Firing Life (workshop) and various concerts across London. The Daily Fail marks Rachel's choreographic debut.
