The award, named in honor of the late award-winning lyricist Fred Ebb, was presented by Joel Grey at a by-invitation-only ceremony in the Penthouse Lounge of The American Airlines Theater. The hit run of HONEYMOON IN VEGAS, which opened to a great set of reviews at Paper Mill Playhouse, has already played its final performance in New Jersey, but is Broadway next? Most-likely. The show has been billed as 'Broadway-Bound' since day one, and the rave reviews from New York's critics make it a safe bet that we'll see it on the Great White Way, sooner rather than later. In fact, a recent report by the New York Post's Michael Riedel, he notes that producer Roy Gabay may have a tough time finding a Broadway house to transfer his hit musical HONEYMOON IN VEGAS to once it ends its run at New Jersey's Paper Mill Playhouse. Says a theater owner, 'Nobody saw this one coming. We'd love to have it, but we have nothing available.'

The similarities between music of the European Baroque and Javanese Gamelan are explored in this concert which features Seattle's renowned gamelan ensemble, Gamelan Pacifica, with vocalist Jessika Kenney and four of today's Baroque music specialists Linda Tsatsanis (voice), Nathan Whittaker (cello), Janet See (flute), and Byron Schenkman (harpsichord). Actress and director Kathy Burke has come up with a cast for her revamp of playwright Mary O'Malley's 1977 play ONCE A CATHOLIC. Burke will direct the production at the Tricycle Theatre, beginning tonight, November 21.

Last night, November 14, Second Stage opened its much-anticipated production of Little Miss Sunshine. This new musical comedy is based on the film of the same name by Michael Arndt. It was adapted for the stage by Tony Award-winning team James Lapine, who wrote the book, and William Finn, who wrote the lyrics and music. Little Miss Sunshine's run has now been extended through Dec 15.
