Phylicia Rashad has won the 2022 Tony Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Role in a Play for SKELETON CREW.

Prop Thtr, Chicago’s longest established off-loop theatre company, today announced its 2022-23 season, which will be its 41st. With two world premieres, workshops and residencies, and participation in festivals, the upcoming season will feature programming across Chicago.

Following an earlier announcement that the show must close, the most Tony nominated play currently on Broadway, the critically acclaimed and reimagined revival of Ntozake Shange’s groundbreaking for colored girls who have considered suicide/ when the rainbow is enuf, will now play an additional two weeks through Sunday, June 5 at Broadway’s Booth Theatre (222 West 45th Street). The previously announced final performance was Sunday, May 22.

 The Acting Company has announced the Actors’ Career Stability Initiative program for the 2022-23 season. With support from the Booth Ferris Foundation, all actors who accept a casting offer to join the 2022-23 national touring season and have a minimum of $10,000 in student loan debt will be eligible to apply for student loan debt relief.
