After nearly fifty years of leadership under Michael Price, the new executive director begins making his mark.

In what has become an annual ritual, a total of 36 established and emerging composers, lyricists, and librettists will converge on the Goodspeed campus from mid-January through mid-February 2016 to participate in the Johnny Mercer Foundation Writers Colony at Goodspeed Musicals. The writing teams, representing 19 new musicals, will populate the campus, creating a truly exciting environment for discovery and inspiration. What would you do if you found an Olsen twin in your dumpster? What happens when 7 grown men are forced, because of the astronomical rents in Manhattan, to live together in a small one bedroom apartment? MARY-KATE and the SEVEN, based loosely on the story of Snow White and her 7 dwarfs, looks at the ever widening gulf between the 'haves' and the 'have nots' in modern day America and the extremes of celebrity. One of the Olsen twins is hungry for fame while the other is just hungry... for a cookie. When the 7 men find the aforementioned Olsen twin in their dumpster, is she perhaps their ticket out of the hellish life they are living? Could they, should they, ransom her? And if they do, will her sister want her back or is she more valuable in terms of celebrity if she is missing or better yet, dead? How much do we really need to be happy?

Feinstein's/54 Below will present Kait Kerrigan and Brian Lowdermilk's music in concert to celebrate the release of their new songbook on Wednesday, December 2nd at 7pm and 9:30pm.

BroadwayWorld has just learned that Broadway's Matt Scott, who was last seen by Goodspeed audiences in the 2013 production of SNAPSHOTS at The Norma Terris Theatre, will assume the role of 'Sam Wainwright' for the remainder of the run of A WONDERFUL LIFE at Goodspeed Opera House through December 6th.

Just announced, A WONDERFUL LIFE will now play eight additional performances through Sunday, December 6, 2015 at the Goodspeed Opera House in East Haddam, Conn.

Tony nominee Elizabeth A. Davis and actor Gary Farmer lead the cast of Goodspeed's INDIAN JOE. Based on a true story, INDIAN JOE, a new musical about discovering the true meaning of family, will inspire Connecticut audiences this fall. An acoustic powerhouse cast of actor-musicians will weave a tuneful tale that beats with pure American heart and soul. The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University, under the leadership of Artistic Director Diane Paulus, will present stage Malloy's musical adaptation of an excerpt from Leo Tolstoy's monumental novel War and Peace, directed by Rachel Chavkin, with choreography by Sam Pinkleton.
