Broadway came out last night for the Fifth Annual Paul Rudd All-Star Bowling Benefit to support SAY: The Stuttering Association for the Young. SAY: The Stuttering Association for the Young announced today that Hamilton's Brandon Victor Dixon will be the guest host at the Fifth Annual Paul Rudd All-Star Bowling Benefit to support SAY.
James Earl Jones said 'I'm standing up for children who are trying to find their voice' and supporting SAY: The Stuttering Association for the Young in the Tony Award-winning musical Kinky Boots' new ad campaign. The campaign, which features six celebrities sporting the famous red boots, encourages people to live by the message of the show and 'Just Be Who You Want To Be.'
On Monday, April 28 SAY (formerly Our Time) honored business legend John Sculley as a man who is an inspiration to kids that stutter. The evening, held at the Skirball Center, was hosted by Meredith Vieira. Scroll down for photos from the event!
Our Time, a nonprofit organization that has been helping children who stutter for over a decade has announced a brand new strategic partnership with Saadiq Wicks and LLLet Me Finish. Mr. Wicks, an eleven-year-old Camp Our Time participant, took it upon himself to found his own organization, LLLet Me Finish," to help raise awareness about stuttering and bullying, and to raise scholarship funds to send kids who stutter to Camp Our Time. This remarkable young man has taken what he learned at Camp Our Time to heart: "Dream Big and Live Courageously." He created a t-shirt with his signature slogan "L-L-Let Me Finish," which he sells to raise money for the organization.
Saturday night, November 19th, Melissa Errico made her long awaited return to solo concert-ing at the newly renovated (beautifully) Joe's Pub. The venue was packed with family, friends and fans who, pretty much, went wild when she walked up onto the stage. She was accompanied by an unbelieveably expert trio of musicians led by the legendary John Oddo. The evening's music program was extremely well chosen and beautifully performed and sung. Errico's patter, storytelling and anecdotal skills were also on show, in top form and wildly entertaining.

Last night, May 4, the Board of Directors of the Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs presented the 2010 MAC Awards at B.B. King Blues Club and Grill in Times Square. The awards ceremony and show, produced by Julie Miller and directed by Lennie Watts, was hosted by Sharon McNight. Tracy Stark musical directed. BroadwayWorld celebrated backstage with the evening's winners and participants.
