Comedian Tone Bell takes the stage in his first stand-up special, TONE BELL: CAN'T CANCEL THIS, premiering on Friday, February 22 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on SHOWTIME on-air, streaming and on demand. In the hour-long special filmed at the Dee and Charles Wyly Theater in Dallas, Bell simply wants to live in a world where Alaska is cold, student loans are paid and jelly is free. He has finally found the one place his uncompromising view of this unfair world can't be stopped. 

The Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA) and the Broadcast Television Journalists Association (BTJA) announced today the star-studded line up of presenters who will take the stage during the 24th Annual Critics' Choice Awards.  Previous #SeeHer Award recipient Viola Davis will present this year's honoree, Claire Foy, with her #SeeHer Award.  The cast of “The Big Bang Theory,” including Mayim Bialik, Kaley Cuoco, Johnny Galecki, Simon Helberg, Kunal Nayyar, Jim Parsons, and Melissa Rauch will be on hand to recognize show creator Chuck Lorre with the Critics' Choice Creative Achievement Award, just in time to celebrate the show's final season.  Additional stars from some of this year's favorite films and television shows who will present throughout the evening include Awkwafina, Angela Bassett, Kristen Bell, Ted Danson, Nina Dobrev, Winston Duke, America Ferrera, Sara Gilbert, Josh Hutcherson, Stephan James, Jameela Jamil, Nicole Kidman, Joel Kinnaman, KiKi Layne, Eugene Levy, Justina Machado, Ricky Martin, Jeanine Mason, Chrissy Metz, Mandy Moore, Olivia Munn, Catherine O'Hara, Edgar Ramirez, Haley Lu Richardson, Sarah Silverman, Cole Sprouse, Ben Stiller, and Bradley Whitford.  They all join previously announced host Taye Diggs.

CBS today announced the comedy portion of its winter 2019 scheduling moves, including the series premiere of FAM and the return of MAN WITH A PLAN.

Nick Jonas has been in the theatre community since he was a child, acting in Les Miserables, Beauty and the Beast, Hairspray, and, most recently, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. But Jonas looks to be trying on the playwright hat next.

CBS today unveiled its 2018-2019 primetime lineup featuring three new comedies, five new dramas and the return of the critically acclaimed MURPHY BROWN. The new series will join 24 returning hits to build on the success of America's Most Watched Network.

According to Deadline, CBS has announced that they have placed a series order on the new comedy called FAM. Written by Corinne Kingsbury, the show explores family dynamics after a woman's half-sister who comes to live with her and her fiancé. Scott Elliswill direct the pilot. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Golden Globe winner Damian Lewis will take on the role of the former infamous mayor of Toronto, Rob Ford, in the upcoming thriller Run This Town, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Ford, who died in 2016, was elected as Toronto's mayor in 2010 but was ultimately stripped of his official powers in 2013 due to drug use and ongoing scandals.

Deadline has exclusively reported, Tony-winning actor Ben Platt (Dear Evan Hansen), The Vampire Diaries alum Nina Dobrev, and Mena Massoud, star of Disney's live-action Aladdinfilm, have signed on to topline the drama pic Run This Town, along with Emmy winner Damian Lewis (Billions, Homeland). The film was written by Ricky Tollman, who will also direct the piece, marking his feature directorial debut.
