All For One Theater Festival to Host Garden Party at Hartley House, 7/22

All For One Theater Festival (AFO) and Michael Wolk, Executive Director, are hosting a garden party on Monday, July 22, 2013 at The Courtyard at the Hartley House (413 West 46th Street). The event starts with a wine tasting at 6:30 p.m. sponsored by a cellar full of noise followed by a performance and award presentation at 7:30 p.m. The event will include appearances by Mike Daisey, Colman Domingo and BD Wong, and special guests including Tom Hewitt and Nilaja Sun. The Pioneer Award, recognizing individuals and companies who have forged the way for solo theatre will be presented to producer Eva Price by award-winning solo performer Ben Rimalower.

First Annual Philadelphia One-Minute Play Festival Set for 7/29-31

InterAct Theatre Company and the New York based company, The One-Minute Play Festival (OMPF) today announce their joint presentation of the First Philadelphia One-Minute Play Festival, to be performed on July 29th-31st 2013 at 8:00 PM EST. Following sold-out performances in a dozen other cities, this festival serves as the culmination of a yearlong collaboration between the two companies after engaging in community and consensus building workshop sessions with local artists since August of 2012.

Victory Gardens Hosts 2013 Chicago One-Minute Play Festival Today

Victory Gardens and the One-Minute Play Festival (OMPF) present the Third Annual Chicago One-Minute Play Festival, an evening of micro-plays by sixty of Chicago's top playwrights, directed by ten Chicago directors. OMPF benefits the Miller Match campaign and will be presented for two performances only, today, June 17 and Tuesday, June 18 at 7:30 p.m. at the Victory Gardens Biograph Theater, 2433 N. Lincoln Avenue in Lincoln Park.

LIFE IN A MARITAL INSTITUTION to Play Fort Worth's McDavid Studio, 6/26-30

James Braly's LIFE IN MARITAL INSTITUTION (20 Years of Monogamy in One Terrifying Hour), written by and starring James Braly, directed by Hal Brooks (Colin Quinn's Long Story Short, Nilaja Sun's No Child...), and presented and produced by Meredith Vieira Productions, will travel to Bass Performance Hall's McDavid Studio for 6 performances, June 26-30, 2013.

Matrix Theatre Company Announces 2013-14 Season

The production, directed by Ron Russell, begins previews Off-Broadway tonight, Tuesday, April 16th and opens Saturday, April 20th at 8:00 PM at the Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street). The play will run through May 4th.

Producers Scott Morfee, Jean Doumanian and Tom Wirtshafter present the New York premiere of the new play, Hit The Wall by Ike Holter, a theatrical exploration of the first night of the 1969 Stonewall Riots, at the Barrow Street Theatre. Directed by Eric Hoff, with original music & music supervision by Dan Lipton. The show began previews at the Barrow Street Theatre (27 Barrow Street) on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 and opening night set for this evening at 7:30 PM.

On March 3, 2013, Epic Theatre Ensemble held their Annual Gala, Remix: Mix It Up With Epic. The event was held at the McKittrick Hotel, home of Sleep No More. This year's honoree was Tony Award-Winning actor Richard Easton. Highlights of the evening included performances from high school students in Epic's Shakespeare Remix program (winner of the the 2009 National Arts & Humanities Youth Program Award); the live fundraising auction with celebrity auctioneer Gordon Elliottand the funny and heartfelt tribute to Easton by Ethan Hawke and Aaron Krohn (currently appearing together Off-Broadway in Clive).

INTAR Announces The Cast For LUCY LOVES ME

INTAR (Lou Moreno, Artistic Director/John McCormack, Executive Director) today announced the cast for the first of the two plays for its Winter/Spring 2013 season: Lucy Loves Me, written by Migdalia Cruz, directed by Lou Moreno, will star Annie Henk, Bertha Leal, and Gerardo Rodriguez.

INTAR Announces 2013 Winter/Spring Season

INTAR (Lou Moreno, Artistic Director/John McCormack, Executive Director) today announced the two plays for its Winter/Spring 2013 season: Lucy Loves Me, written by Migdalia Cruz, directed by Lou Moreno, and Pinkolandia written by Andrea Thome, directed by Jose Zayas. Lucy Loves Me will begin performances Off-Broadway Friday February 22nd continuing through March 24th. Pinkolandia begins performances Friday, May 3rd and will continue through May 26th. Both Lucy Loves Me and Pinkoldandia are products of INTAR's legendary Maria Irene Fornés Hispanic Playwrights-in-Residence Laboratory (MIF HPRL).
