Producer Daryl Roth announced today that Nikki Blonsky, the Golden Globe nominated star of Hairspray, will complete the January cast of the hit Off Broadway show Love, Loss, and What I Wore, now in its second smash year at NYC's Westside Theatre (407 West 43 St.).

Blonsky stars as Willamina aka Will, an opinionated, sardonic non-conformist who is not happy that her parents sent her to Camp Victory, a weight loss camp run by Dr. Rand, played by Gina Torres ('Firefly'). The cast also includes Hayley Hasselhoff as Amber, Zander Eckhouse as George, Stefan Van Ray as Trent, Harvey Guillen as Alistair, Ari Stidham as Ian, Raven Goodwin as Becca and Ashley Holliday as Chloe. Yesterday, July 6, the ABC Family 'Live Huge' bus campaign stopped off in Valencia, California. The bus is currently traveling through different states stopping off at fairs and festivals. At each stop volunteers sign the 'Live Huge' bus and write how they live their life to the fullest. The campaign is promoting a healthy lifestyle and the network's new show 'Huge'. IMBD news is reporting that Hairspray 2, a sequel to the 2007 Hairspray film starring Nikki Blonsky, Zac Efron, John Travolta and Michelle Pfieffer, has been canned. Hairspray composer/producer Marc Shaiman was supposed to team with John Waters on the project, which had had a tentative release date of July 2010 in the early stages of it's planning. The story was going to follow Tracy Turnblad (played by Nikki Blonsky in the first installment) and her pals as they navigate the 'next era of music,' the late '60s.

Multiple outlets are reporting that HAIRSPRAY's Nikki Blonsky will star on a new ABC Family TV series - 'Huge'. The show is said to be a mix of GLEE and UGLY BETTY and will take place at Wellness Canyon, a weight loss camp where Blonsky is sent.
