Blonsky, Jibson, Zbornik et al. Lead FAT CAMP Industry Reading, 2/19

Following a sold-out run at The New York Musical Theatre Festival, where it received the "Best of Fest" Audience Prize and honors in Choreography, Direction and Acting, FAT CAMP will receive a star-studded reading Friday, February 19, 2010.

Produced by Michael Minarik & Eleven Entertainment (Rock of Ages), the reading will star Nikki Blonsky (Hairspray the movie), Carly Jibson (Cry-Baby, Hairspray), Jeff McCarthy (Urinetown, Beauty and the Beast), Sarah Saltzberg (...Spelling Bee), Kristine Zbornik (A Catered Affair, Road Show) and Randy Blair (Adding Machine). Directed by Obie Award winner Alex Timbers (fresh from The Pee-Wee Herman Show in Los Angeles and of the up-coming Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson at The Public), the book is by Blair and Timothy Michael Drucker (creators of the 2008 New York International Fringe Festival's Outstanding Musical winner Perez Hilton Saves the Universe), with lyrics by Blair, and music by Matthew Roi Berger. Choreography is by Connor Gallagher (Perez Hilton Saves the Universe) and musical direction is by Jason DeBord (Shrek, Legally Blonde).

The cast also includes: Michael Buchanan, Ally Bo, Nancy Renee Braun, Tricia Burns, Molly Hager, Cale Krise, Michael Mendez, Larry Owens, Marc-Sully Saint-Fleur, Josh Segarra, Becca Tobin, Kate Weber, and Tracy Weiler.

Spend the summer at Camp Overton, a weight loss facility for hefty teenagers in rural Pennsylvania, as secrets, sex, S'mores, and self image collide in this coming-of-age rock musical comedy.

FAT CAMP played a sold-out run at The Acorn Theatre at Theatre Row from September 30 - October 8, 2009 as part of The New York Musical Theatre Festival.
