Celebrity chef, restaurateur and author Marcus Samuelsson has joined ABC's cooking competition show 'The Taste' as its newest mentor. Chef Samuelsson joins chef and television personality Anthony Bourdain, British food star Nigella Lawson and chef and author Ludo Lefebvre as they begin production on the show's second season (airdate TBD).

SAN FRANCISCO, CA - The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco, a AAA Five Diamond hotel in the heart of downtown, has partnered with Bay Area broadcast veteran Liam Mayclem in launching the Inside the Kitchen culinary tours, a series of exclusive, behind-the-scenes excursions that showcase the craft, talent and history of San Francisco's remarkable food and beverage community. Offered to hotel guests and members of the community, the first four Inside the Kitchen tours will take place on August 10, 17, 24 and 31. Led by Mayclem and featuring notable local chefs, artisans and bartenders, each tour will explore a different theme from San Francisco's history and food legends to craft cocktails and chocolate.

ABC's new cooking competition series, "The Taste," produced by Kinetic Content, has created multi-platform integration partnerships with several of the nation's leading advertisers, it was announced today. Premiering with a special two-hour episode on TUESDAY, JANUARY 22 at 8:00 p.m., ET, the series features four of the most acclaimed masters in the food world -- Anthony Bourdain, Nigella Lawson, Ludo Lefebvre and Brian Malarkey -- who will act as "taste" mentors to 16 contestants made up of professional chefs and home cooks. At the end of each episode, the mentors will have to judge the competitors' dishes blind, with no knowledge of whose creation they're sampling, what they're eating, how it was prepared or whom they could be sending home.
