Naveen Andrews has come on board to star in a film adaptation of Gabrielle Zevin's runaway bestseller THE STORIED LIFE OF A.J. FIKRY. Hans Canosa will direct from Zevin's adaptation of her own novel. Canosa, Zevin and Claude Dal Farra, Brice Dal Farra and Brian Keady of BCDF Pictures are producers.

The HBO Films presentation NATIVE SON, based on the classic novel by Richard Wright, will debut SATURDAY, APRIL 6 at 10:00 p.m. (ET/PT) on HBO, it was announced today by Len Amato, president, HBO Films. Directed by first-time director and renowned visual artist Rashid Johnson from a screenplay by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Suzan-Lori Parks (“Topdog/Underdog”), the drama had its world premiere in January at the Sundance Film Festival.

The nonprofit Sundance Institute announced today the showcase of new independent feature films selected across all categories for the 2019 Sundance Film Festival. The Festival hosts screenings in Park City, Salt Lake City and at Sundance Mountain Resort, from January 24 - February 3, 2019.

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos hosted the Los Angeles LGBT Center's 49th Anniversary Vanguard Awards, honoring Emmy nominee, Grammy winner, philanthropist, and writer Ricky Martin, presented by The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story co-star Max Greenfield, and philanthropist Ariadne Getty, who accepted their Vanguard Awards. Producer, writer, and director Greg Berlanti and his husband producer Robbie Rogers were also honored and received their awards from Love, Simon actor Nick Robinson.

Conrad Ricamora is best-known to millions of TV viewers as Oliver, the cute computer whiz, on ABC's 'How to Get Away With Murder.' But this 2013 Theatre World Award winner also can slay an audience onstage as he has proven Off-Broadway in 'Here Lies Love' and on Broadway in 'The King and I.' The second and final wave of TEEN CHOICE TM 2018 nominees have been announced and music artists Cardi B and Selena Gomez lead with four nominations each. In film, "The Greatest Showman," "Black Panther" and "Solo: A Star Wars Story" each received four nods. "Riverdale" leads in television with seven nominations, while "Stranger Things" follows with five and "The Bold Type" with four.
