Alec Baldwin and Anne Heche Will Reunite for TWENTIETH CENTURY Benefit Reading

Roundabout Theatre Company will welcome back Emmy, Golden Globe & SAG Award winner and Oscar & Tony Award nominee Alec Baldwin, and Emmy Award winner and Tony Award nominee Anne Heche in a one-night-only reunion benefit reading of Ben Hecht and Charles MacArthur's comedy Twentieth Century, reuniting the original stars of Roundabout's 2004 revival with director Walter Bobbie.

Bay Street Theater Announces THE PROMPTER For The 2019 Mainstage Season

Bay Street Theater is pleased to announce the first show of the 2019 Mainstage Season will be the World Premiere of THE PROMPTER (May 28- June 16) a new comedy by Wade Dooley; directed by Scott Schwartz, Bay Street Theater's Artistic Director. The other two previously announced shows will be the World Premiere of SAFE SPACE, which will now run from June 25 - July 21. This new play is by Alan Fox and will be directed by three-time Tony Award Winner Jack O'Brien (All My Sons, Hairspray, The Coast of Utopia). The third show will be a bold new re-envisioning of Irving Berlin's classic musical ANNIE GET YOUR GUN, (July 30 - August 25) with music and lyrics by Irving Berlin, book by Herbert & Dorothy Fields. This production will be directed by Sarna Lapine (Sunday in the Park with George, Bay Street's Frost/Nixon). The casts and creative teams will be announced soon. DANCE NOW Presents ZviDance In On The Road At Joe's Pub

As part of its Dance-mopolitan Featured Artist Series, DANCE NOW is pleased to present acclaimed choreographer Zvi Gotheiner's 2016 work On the Road, a multimedia dance piece inspired by Jack Kerouac's famed novel of the same name. Performances are Thursday through Saturday, April 25-27, at 7pm, at Joe's Pub.

Repertorio Español Performs EL QUIJOTE At Hostos Center Friday, March 15

Hostos Center for the Arts continues its partnership with Repertorio Español, the award-winning Spanish language theater company, with El Quijote on Friday, March 15, 7:30 PM in the Repertory Theater at Hostos Community College, 450 Grand Concourse, in the Bronx. Directed by Jorge Ali Triana, El Quijote is an adaption by Santiago Garcia of Miguel de Cervantes' epic novel that follows the misadventures of Don Quixote and his loyal squire Sancho Panza. One of Repertorio Español's most popular productions, it is now in its 11th season. Performed in Spanish with English Surtitles.

New York Live Arts 2019 Live Ideas Festival Headliner Announced

New York Live Arts (Live Arts) to present the New York City premiere of discrete figures by Japanese companies Rhizomatiks Research and ELEVENPLAY, and American media artist Kyle McDonald, May 8-11, 2019. The performance will be the mainstage highlight of Live Arts' annual interdisciplinary festival Live Ideas, this year exploring Artificial Intelligence and titled Live Ideas 2019 - AI: Are You Brave Enough for The Brave New World?, May 8-12, 2019. Five live female dancers execute choreography with machine learning technology on a stage designed for interactivity between performers, drones, and Artificial Intelligence, in the quest for a new palette of movement to foster undiscovered modes of expressive dance that transcend the limits of conventional human subjectivity and emotional expression.

Kristine Haruna Lee's SUICIDE FOREST Extends

The Bushwick Starr collaborates with Ma-Yi Theater Company in presenting the world premiere of Suicide Forest by award-winning playwright and performer Kristine Haruna Lee (Memory Retrograde at The Public Theater with Under the Radar and Ars Nova, War Lesbian at Dixon Place), directed by Aya Ogawa (Ludic Proxy produced by The Play Company at Walker Space, The Nosebleed at The Public Theater with Under the Radar).

The complete six-part encyclopedic series is a multidisciplinary work that weaves theory and performance into a four-hour-long hybrid event.

Voyage Theater Compay Presents SPHINX By Neil Fleming

Voyage Theater Company/PARTS UNKNOWN Play Reading Series will present a staged reading of Sphinx by British playwright Neil Fleming, directed by Wayne Maugans, at the 53rd Street New York Public Library (18 W 53 Street, across the street from MOMA), Thur February 21 at 7pm. Parthenia Viol Consort Presents BY THE WATERS OF BABYLON

Parthenia, New York's premiere viol consort, will be in concert on Sunday, March 10 at 4:00 PM, performing By the Waters of Babylon (Al Naharot Bavel), with ARTEK vocal and instrumental ensemble at The Center for Jewish History, 15 West 16th Street in Manhattan. Al Naharot Bavel is a co-presentation of Yeshiva University Museum and Stern College for Women. 

Christos Rafalides And The Manhattan Vibes Perform At WCT's Jazz Masters Series

On Today, February 16, the Jazz Masters Series of Westchester Collaborative Theater (WCT) will feature internationally known vibraphonist Christos Rafalides and his group, the Manhattan Vibes. Rafalides has appeared at such venues as Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall and has been featured with numerous notable artists including Wynton Marsalis and Chaka Khan. In 2002, a Manhattan Vibes CD was named one of the year's top ten jazz recordings by Jazz Times.
