Dixon Place (Ellie Covan, Artistic Director) presents the 23rd Annual HOT!, the NYC Celebration of Queer Culture. The world's longest-running LGBTQ Performance Festival, HOT! offers theater, music, dance, puppetry, performance art and homoeroticism for the whole family! HOT! is the pioneering festival of queer performance and culture - and the oldest annual festival of its kind in the world. Dixon Place is proud the HOT! serves as the model for other queer festivals across the globe and has become a performance destination for emerging talent in the LGBTQ community. This year's HOT!, featuring hundreds of participating artists presenting their newest creations, will run July 5th through August 2nd at Dixon Place, located at 161A Chrystie Street in New York City.
NO HOMO was also awarded the Encore Producers' Award and will receive three extension performances at Theatre Asylum (6320 Santa Monica Blvd) on Friday July 25, Wednesday July 30, and Thursday July 31, all performances at 8pm.
Griffin Theatre Company will launch its 2014-15 season with a new, intimate version of the Tony Award-winning Best Musical TITANIC, with music and lyrics by Maury Yeston (Nine, Phantom), book by Peter Stone (Woman of the Year, 1776), new orchestrations by Ian Weinberger, directed by Scott Weinstein (Griffin Theatre's Spelling Bee, Chicago Shakespeare Theater's Seussical) and music direction by Elizabeth Doran (Timeline's Juno). Acclaimed Greek theatre director Nadia Foskolou returns to New York City for the world premiere of Hotel Mediterranee. Based on Matisse's Self Portrait by playwright Charles Mee and the Greekfilm documentary Yiannis Moralis by Stelios Charalambopoulos, Hotel Mediterranee is a collage between live performance and video. This devised piece follows the lives of two renowned painters-a fictional Henri Matisse and the real Yiannis Moralis. By interrogating the negotiation between the everyday burden of making a livelihood and the creative process, Hotel Mediterraneeexplores the angsts and pleasures behind all great creativity and behind all human existence.

The creators of the hit comedy show Gay Camp are returning with a one-night-only cabaret titled My Big Gay 'Gay Camp' Talent Show, playing at the Duplex Cabaret Theatre on Monday, June 23 at 7pm.
"Held Momentarily" is a poignant new musical comedy about making connections, living in the moment, and moving on in life. Conceived by a group of classmates from LaGuardia Arts High School (the "Fame" school), the piece was originally workshopped in January 2014 at The Producers' Club and has just been accepted into the New York International Fringe Festival, to be helmed by director Hunter Bird and produced by Lionel Christian and Marielle Young.
