Berkeley Repertory Theatre today announced the full cast and creative team for Metamorphoses. This co-production with the Guthrie Theater is led by nationally and internationally renowned writer and director Mary Zimmerman.

Director Linda Fortunato has cast Neil Friedman as Kris Kringle, Stella Rose Hoyt as Susan, Courtney Jones as Doris and Christopher Kale Jones as Fred for Theatre at the Center's Miracle On 34th Street: The Musical. Previews began November 15 with Opening Night on November 18 and a continued run through December 23. This production is sponsored in part by American Community Bank.

Nevermore made its regional premiere in Austin in October 2016 and subsequently was the winner of five B. Iden Payne Awards, including Best Musical. The Nevermore revival will run October 25 - November 10 and plays at the Ground Floor Theatre.

NEVERMORE: The Imaginary Life and Mysterious Death of Edgar Allan Poe is a Canadian musical that was written and composed by Jonathan Christenson which follows the rather dismal life and internal struggles of Edgar Allan Poe that later on inspired his work as an author. The script contains references to both his poems and short stories. While most of the script dramatizes true events in his life, other aspects are entirely fictitious. The musical was originally produced at the Catalyst Theatre in Edmonton, Alberta and went on to be performed across Canada, and at the Barbican Theater in London, and the New Victory Theatre in NYC. The current production now playing at Ground Floor Theatre is a remount of the original Doctuh Mistuh production, produced in conjunction with Penfold Theatre, and features most of the original cast.

The Tank (Meghan Finn and Rosalind Grush, Artistic Directors) in association with Anna & Kitty, Inc. will present the World Premiere of The Russian & The Jew, a political fairy tale about anti-semitism and female friendship in the Soviet Union in 1968, co-written by Liba Vaynberg and Emily Louise Perkins and directed by Ines Braun at The Tank (312 West 36th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues), December 4-20.

The BLUEBARN Theatre, founded in 1989 by graduates of the SUNY Purchase Acting Conservatory, proudly announces a creative partnership with STRANGEMEN THEATRE COMPANY, a New York-based non-profit, originally founded in 2010 by graduates of that same conservatory. Frank Baum, Strangemen Theatre Company's THE WOODSMAN gives this darkly beautiful, haunting, and heart-breaking story new life through original music, physical storytelling, and innovative puppetry. A re-imagined tale of the origin of Baum's 'The Tin Woodman of Oz' that is not to be missed this season!

HowlRound, a free and open platform for theatremakers worldwide located at Emerson College, proudly announces Jamie Gahlon as its new director. Gahlon is a co-founder of HowlRound and most recently served as its interim director following the departure of co-founder/director P. Carl in November 2017. Previously, she was senior creative producer.

The american vicarious will present the world premiere of Jonathan Leaf's Pushkin. This limited Off-Broadway engagement will begin performances on July 25th and continue through August 25th only, at at The Sheen Center for Thought & Culture (18 Bleecker Street). Opening Night is scheduled  for August 5th. The performance runs 90 minutes with no intermission.

Charlie Brooks and Patrick Ryecart play Sally and Mike respectively in the UK tour and London run of Torben Betts's new play MONOGAMY. Janie Dee plays Caroline Mortimer.  They are joined by Jack Archer as Leo, Genevieve Gaunt as Amanda and Jack Sandle as Graeme. 

Olivier award nominated and renowned theatre company Tall Stories celebrates its 21st birthday in 2018 with a stellar year of productions including a brand new show for grown-ups. The 1997 Edinburgh Fringe saw the premiere of the company's first show, 'The Happy Prince and Other Stories', adapted from Oscar Wilde's fairy tales. 21 years later, the company returns to the Edinburgh Fringe with two distinctive Wilde adaptations: the world premiere of 'THE CANTERVILLE GHOST' (definitely not suitable for under 12s) and the Edinburgh premiere of 'WILDE CREATURES' (for ages 5 and over) - straight from London's West End.

You might remember him portrayal of Anatoly in Chess at Signature Theatre or his Helen Hayes Award winning performance as Leo Frank in Parade at Ford's Theatre or Launce in The Two Gentlemen of Verona at Shakespeare Theatre Company.
