Ring in the holiday season as you sing along with your favorite songs and carols during A FESTIVAL OF MUSIC at North Shore Music Theatre (NSMT)! This special holiday concert?with a Broadway and Hollywood flair?will take place on Tuesday, December 2 at 7:30pm. It will feature performances by NSMT audience favorite actors George Dvorsky and Maureen Brennan, The North Shore Philharmonic, the new NSMT Academy Performance Ensemble featuring students ages 14-18 years old, and more! Special guest emcee will be arts and entertainment critic, Joyce Kulhawik.

It may be cold outside but it will feel like summer inside North Shore Music Theatre (NSMT) as it is transformed into the Lava Springs Country Club for DISNEY HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 2. Following the first Disney High School Musical success last summer, NSMT is pleased to present the second regional production and the New England premiere of DISNEY HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 2 from December 18, 2008 through January 11, 2009. Press Night scheduled for Friday, December 19th.
John Herrera Anchors the Engaging, Tricky 'Medium at Large'

After extensive development in New York at the York Theatre and the Vineyard Theatre, the world premiere of the musical 'The Medium at Large' took place Sunday afternoon, October 19, 2008, at the Village Players Performing Arts Center in Oak Park, Illinois, just over Chicago's western border. Starring Tony Award nominee John Herrera (Neville in 'The Mystery of Edwin Drood') as the titular spiritualist, the show shows promise in negotiating a tricky premise and an even trickier payoff.

Lilies performed in the historic Sanctuary of Middle Church, built in 1872, in the East Village, on Monday, October 20th.

Women Musicians & Activists of Culture Project Visit New Orleans

Culture Project has announced that Emancipate, a project of its annual Women Center Stage series, will bring a group of female musicians (who are also activists in their communities) to New Orleans to meet with activists doing rebuilding work in New Orleans, and bring their stories to a national audience. The artists will be in New Orleans March 2-6, 2008, and will create new songs to premiere at Culture Project's 2008 festival this spring.
