Gustav Holst didn't even know Pluto was a planet — or a dwarf planet — when he started to compose his seven-movement suite The Planets in 1914. Pluto wasn't discovered until 1930 and by that time, Holst had no interest in adding another movement to his well known work.

With a mandate to produce plays set in Canada prior to Confederation, The Canadian History Project is proud to present In His Name-Dollard Des Ormeaux and the Battle of Long Sault, written by Robert Tsonos and directed by Adam Bailey, from tonight, April 23rd to 27th, 2014. Performances will be held Today to Saturday at 8:00pm and Sunday at 2:00pm at The Array Space (155 Walnut Avenue, Toronto). Starbucks 19th Annual Hot Java Cool Jazz Set for 4/25

The stage is set for Starbucks 19th Annual Hot Java Cool Jazz to once again delight Seattle-area jazz fans as the region's top young musicians come together for a special show at the Paramount Theatre. Proceeds from the night's performances benefit the music programs of the participating schools which this year includes: Ballard, Bothell, Garfield, Mountlake Terrace, and Roosevelt. The show will be held on Friday, April 25th at 7:00 p.m. Since its inception in 1995, Starbucks Hot Java Cool Jazz has raised more than $350,000 for participating schools' music programs.
