The Baroque pastiche The Enchanted Island, a hit when it premiered at the Met in 2011, returns for its first revival on February 26. New cast members Susan Graham (Sycorax) and Andriana Chuchman (Miranda) join many of the principal singers who appeared in the work's world premiere: David Daniels as Prospero, Plácido Domingo as Neptune, Danielle de Niese as Ariel, Anthony Roth Costanzo as Ferdinand, and Luca Pisaroni as Caliban. The four mismatched Athenian lovers will be sung by Elizabeth DeShong, who sang Hermia in the world premiere, joined by new cast members Janai Brugger (Helena), Andrew Stenson (Demetrius), and Nicholas Pallesen (Lysander) completing the quartet of Athenian lovers. Rob Thomas' VERONICA MARS, a project which broke records with its Kickstarter campaign last year, has now become a full-length feature film, hitting theaters on March 14, 2014. Now, Deadline reports that the movie, starring Kristen Bell and Jason Dohring, will receive its VOD/digital release on the same day.

In 1837 Hans Christian Anderson wrote his most beloved tale 'The Little Mermaid'. 177 years later she is still swimming her way into the hearts of young and old. On February 16th, Literally Alive Children's Theatre will open their musical adaptation of this classic tale with books and lyrics by Brenda Bell and music by Michael Sgouros at the Players Theatre located at 115 MacDougal Street (between Bleeker and West 3rd) in Manhattan. Their adaptation is true to the original story by Hans Christian Andersen, unlike the Disney version, which has a different ending. 'We tell the story in its original form' says Artistic Director Brenda Bell, 'We believe that the true ending shows children that every wish has a price and that love comes with many sacrifices.'
