Off-Broadway's The New Group will honor Ed Harris & Amy Madigan and Ellen Roth at the company's Annual Gala on Monday, March 7 at Tribeca Rooftop (2 Desbrosses Street between Hudson & Greenwich). Hosted by Mario Cantone, the event will feature performances by Jerry Dixon and Nat and Alex Wolff, and an appearance by playwright Beth Henley, author of Crimes of the Heart and The Jacksonian. Music Director is Sinai Tabak. The evening, 6:00-10:00pm, includes cocktails, dinner, and silent and live auctions.

Brooke Muriel Ferguson is the latest wunderkind from the Lipscomb University Department of Theatre to make her directorial debut at Towne Centre Theatre, helming the production of the murder mystery Murder's in the Heir that opens tonight in Brentwood.

MCC Theater welcomes film and television star Robin Tunney, making her stage debut opposite Zachary Quinto in the New York premiere of SMOKEFALL by Noah Haidle, directed by Anne Kauffman, who directed The Nether for MCC last season to great acclaim. SMOKEFALL will play the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street), opening tonight, February 22, for an extended run through March 20, 2016.

THEATRE COMPANY present an exclusive Los Angeles reading of Steve Yockey's THE THRUSH AND THE WOODPECKER on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at 8pm.  Founded by Devon Gummersall and Andrew Carlberg, THE PIECE PROJECT is a celebrity-based theater ensemble.  Every two-three months, The Piece Project hosts a play reading to benefit a local Los Angeles theater company.  Devon Gummersall will direct this reading of THE THRUSH AND THE WOODPECKER, whose cast includes Daniel Sharman, Brenda Strong and Kate Walsh.
