On Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at 8pm, Natalie Merchant will perform at the Merriam Theater of the University of the Arts. This appearance is part of her nationwide tour in support of her new album Leave Your Sleep. The tour will be Merchant's first major outing in seven years. Created, written and hosted by Scott Siegel for the Town Hall, the new Broadway performers include Norm Lewis (The Little Mermaid), Karen Mason (Mama Mia!), Astaire Award-winner Spencer Liff (Cry- Baby), Michael Winther (Mama Mia!), Douglas Ladnier (Jekyll & Hyde) and Ann Harada (Avenue Q).
On Sunday June 13th, respected songwriters, talented singers and downtown denizens take the stage and step into Lee Feldman's shoes (metaphorically), playing their renditions of his oeuvre and engaging in other Feldmanesque activities (although no unlicensed dentistry will occur). Mr. Feldman will also be present and performing.
