ImprovBoston's second annual standup comedy tournament, StandUp ThrowDown, unites Boston's best standup comics in a month-long competition to crown the top comic in town. From today, May 2 - 29, the tournament will dish out laughs on ImprovBoston's two stages, featuring more than 50 local comedians.

Comedian Joe Machi will appear on NBC's national broadcast of the "Final Four" on Last Comic Standing Thursday night, and then perform in Jamestown, NY on Friday night.

Myq Kaplan is a comedian named Myq Kaplan (pronounced 'Mike'). Myq made his network television debut on The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien and has since gone on to appear on The Late Show with David Letterman, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson and in his own half-hour Comedy Central Presents: Myq Kaplan special. He was also a Top 5 finalist on the previous season of Last Comic Standing.
