The Vagabond Players continues its 99th season with a critically acclaimed production Ain't Misbehavin' with music by Thomas "Fats" Waller and conceived by Murray Horwitz and Richard Maltby, Jr. The show runs through November 23rd. It is directed by Rikki Howie Lacewell with musical direction by LeVar Betts.

Washington Performing Arts Society (WPAS) leads celebration of Marian Anderson on 75th anniversary of her Lincoln Memorial concert Soprano Jessye Norman, composer Ysaye Barnwell, opera singer Soloman Howard and vocalist Annisse Murillo (respectively an alumnus and current member of WPAS's Children of the Gospel), and an extraordinary 300-voice choir led by WPAS Gospel choir Artistic Director Stanley Thurston are just some of the talented artists who will join together under the banner of the Washington Performing Arts Society (WPAS) for Of Thee We Sing: The Marian Anderson 75th Anniversary Celebration.

One of the most popular, well-crafted musical revues of all time, Ain't Misbehavin' is simply unforgettable and will be performed in the now-signature Rep style, with a group of five 'Quadruple Threat' actor/singer/dancer/musicians. The cast features Britney Coleman, Christopher James Culberson, Kenney M. Green, Bethany Thomas and Erin Willis. Ain't Misbehavin' runs in the Stackner Cabaret through May 18 and opened Sunday, March 16. The Executive Producers for this production are Greg and Rhonda Oberland and the Associate Producers are David and Camille Kundert.

Bucks County Playhouse (BCP) has announced its 75th Anniversary Season, starting with a salute to the theater's illustrious history with Neil Simon's Chapter Two, a comedy about love the second time around. Directing will be Golden Globe Winner® and four-time Academy Award® nominee Marsha Mason. Mason starred as Jennie in the film version of this hilarious and touching story that asks if you can start a second chapter when you can't let go of the first? Performances begin May 22 and run through June 15 at the Bucks County Playhouse (70 South Main Street, New Hope, PA).

A Tony Award-winning tour through the legendary Fats Waller songbook, Ain't Misbehavin' dives into the Harlem Renaissance of the 1920s, the golden age of honky-tonk dives, swing music and stride piano players. Considered "a tribute to the timeless appeal of Waller's music" by The New York Times, Ain't Misbehavin' includes classic Waller hits like "Loungin' at the Waldorf" and "I Can't Give You Anything but Love." Ain't Misbehavin' was conceived by Murray Horwitz and Richard Maltby, Jr. and will be directed by Rep Associate Artist Dan Kazemi, who was the Musical Director of End of The Rainbow, A Christmas Carol, Forever Plaid and Ragtime this season at The Rep.
