Music Director Andres Orozco-Estrada will step onto the conductor's podium at Houston Baptist University's Joella & Stewart Morris Cultural Arts Center for the first time since being appointed music director. Wow, Wow, Wow Fellas! Meet the Creative Team of Broadway-Bound HELLO, DOLLY!

As BroadwayWorld reported this morning, Bette Midler will indeed return to Broadway in one of the most cherished shows in musical theater history when she takes on the role of Dolly Gallagher Levi in Michael Stewart's (book) and Jerry Herman's (music and lyrics) masterpiece, Hello, Dolly!. Directed by four-time Tony Award® winner Jerry Zaks, Hello, Dolly! will begin performances on Broadway on March 13, 2017, with an official opening night of April 20, 2017. Rehearsals begin one year from today. This new production of Hello, Dolly!, the first new production of this classic musical to appear on Broadway since it opened more than fifty years ago, will have at its helm Jerry Zaks as its director, and will feature choreography by Tony Award-winner Warren Carlyle. The new Dolly! will pay tribute to the original work of legendary director/choreographer Gower Champion, which has been hailed both then and now as one of the greatest stagings in musical theater history. NNPN Unveils Twelve Productions of Three Rolling World Premieres

The NATIONAL NEW PLAY NETWORK (NNPN), the country's alliance of non-profit theaters that champions the development, production, and continued life of new plays, announces its 44th, 45th, and 46th Rolling World Premieres: Nathan Alan Davis' Dontrell, Who Kissed the Sea, Andrew Hinderaker's Colossal, and William Missouri Downs' Women Playing Hamlet will receive a total of 12 productions through the Network's Continued Life of New Plays Fund in the 2014/15 season.

Richmond Ballet has announced the return of the New Works Festival, the second installment of the Ballet's 2013-2014 Studio Series. The Festival - which will present four, new works in progress this season - is set to debut March 25-30, 2013, at the Ballet's downtown Studio Theatre. This year's Festival will feature the work of four contemporary ballet choreographers including former New York City Ballet dancer Melissa Barak, the classically trained Canadian-native Peter Quanz, the award-winning Mexican-born Edgar Zendejas as well as emerging choreographer Gavin Stewart, who is now in his second season with Richmond Ballet II. This is will mark the first time since the Festival's premiere in the spring of 2008 that a Richmond Ballet II company member has been invited to participate as a choreographer.
