Alzheimer's casts its long shadow over an already broken family in Joe Beck's poignant drama A Homecoming. Edited by Tom Philbin, directed by Troy Miller and presented by Adam Weinstock and Creative Concept Productions as part of the 17th Annual New York International Fringe Festival (Fringe NYC), A Homecoming will be performed at the Players Theater, located at 115 MacDougal Street (between W 3rd St. & BleeckerSt. (Fringe Venue #17). The production will run Saturday, August 10 at 4:45pm; Friday, August 16 at 2pm; Tuesday, August 20 at 9pm; Thursday, August 22 at 1pm; and Friday, August 23 at 7pm.

Premiere Stages will open its ninth season as the professional theatre company in residence at Kean University with a free staged reading of Darren Canady's powerful new play Ontario Was Here. Selected from over 400 submissions, Ontario Was Here is the first of two scripts scheduled for expanded development as part of the 2013 Premiere Stages Play Festival. The Festival is an annual competition for unproduced scripts by playwrights with ties to the greater metropolitan area (New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut), and perfectly embodies the theatre's passionate and longstanding commitment to supporting emerging artists through the development and production of new plays.

Beloved Broadway producer Roy Miller passed away suddenly early Sunday morning, April 28, 2013 following a brief illness. Roy produced the multiple Tony Award nominated Broadway productions of The Drowsy Chaperone and this season's A Christmas Story: The Musical. His other Broadway producing credits include West Side Story, Ragtime, [title of show] and The Pee-Wee Herman Show among others. He recently served as Producing Artistic Director of Surflight Theatre from 2010 to 2012 and also served as Associate Producer of Paper Mill Playhouse from 1991 to 2004.

Alan Simmons Art + Design presents "Observations: Ceramic Works by Gregory Miller" at a gallery debut opening and reception for the noted Dallas area ceramist. The event will be held this Saturday, April 6, 2013, 5:00-8:30 PM at 1415 Slocum Street, Suite 105, Dallas, TX 75207, 214-745-ALAN (2526), Dallas Design District. Mr. Miller's exhibition will run through May 11, 2013. He previously debuted his work in a group show at the gallery in December 2012.

Victory Gardens Receives Largest Individual Gift in its History

Victory Gardens Theater announces a generous $350,000 gift from Steven and Diane Miller. President of the Victory Gardens Board since July 2012, Steven Miller has been involved with the organization since the late 1990s, joining as a board member in 2008. His gift marks the single largest individual contribution in the Theater's thirty-eight year history.
