On Monday, November 5, the Long Beach Playhouse was burglarized. The thief got away with about $1000 in cash, a laptop and an employee's wallet.

A Christmas Carol, Alliance Theatre's annual holiday gift to Atlanta, returns November 23, 2012 for its 23rd production.

Flat Rock Playhouse, the State Theatre is at a crossroads. The Playhouse is facing a pretty serious situation and is in dire need of funds. Playhouse employees have been making strides towards getting the organization out of financial debt. However, it has not been enough. In order to finish out the year, The Playhouse needs to raise at least $250,000.

The Alley Theatre in Houston has been annually producing a stage adaptation of Charles Dickens' novella A Christmas Carol in Prose, Being a Ghost Story of Christmas since 1988. In 1990, Michael Wilson's adaptation, titled A CHRISTMAS CAROL - A GHOST STORY OF CHRISTMAS, had its premiere at The Alley. With family friendly chills and a thrilling, Wizard of Oz-esque spin on the classic parable of redemption and the true meaning of Christmas, the show continues to delight audiences year after year.

Voting is now underway for the Toronto Awards and continues until December 31, 2012. Winners will be announced in early January. Check out the live standings below!
