SONNET REPERTORY THEATRE celebrates eleven years of classic theatre for a modern planet with a production of Jean Genet's THE MAIDS, directed by Christopher Schilder (resident director, National Tour, Billy Elliot). THE MAIDS will play a limited engagement at the Ford Foundation Studio Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street, between 9th and 10th Avenues). Performances begin Friday, November 22 and continue through Sunday, December 1. Opening Night is Saturday, November 23 (7:30 pm).

Robert Galinsky's Coffee Crazy, published by THiNK Aha! Books, will be released November 10th and will be available in print, on Amazon in all digital formats, and also on the THiNK Aha! iPhone app. The book is the first 'Tweet' book about coffee and contains 140 passages each 140 characters or less and also features excerpts from 'Coffee The Musical', the 'Seven Ground Rules of the Coffee Break' and '10 'Aha!' On Monday, October 28, 2013, Sing for Hope celebrated its 7th annual gala in New York City in a multi-level Chelsea loft space punctuated by brilliantly colored Sing for Hope Pianos and vivid art photographs. Nearly 400 guests gathered to support Sing for Hope's arts outreach programs that democratize the arts and ignite the spark of creative innovation in all people. The Theatre School at DePaul University is delighted to announce that this coming December 31, 2010, will mark the 100th anniversary of the opening of the Merle Reskin Theatre (formerly The Blackstone Theatre). The Beaux-Arts style Blackstone Theatre, which was designed by Chicago architects Marshall and Fox, opened its doors just off of Michigan Avenue in the South Loop on New Years' Eve of 1910. In the course of the past century it has changed owners, names, addresses, audiences, and has stayed a hub of theatrical arts in a changing neighborhood and city. It faced many noteworthy changes in entertainment, including the introduction of the radio, television and film industries.

Yesterday, July 18, the '2010 VH1 Do Something! Awards' were held at the Hollywood Palladium in Hollywood, California. The award show honors individual's 25 years of age and younger for their commitment to social change. This year's host was Jane Lynch from the hit television show GLEE.
