On Wednesday, September 26 thousands of local students and educators descended on Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York for the second annual WE Day UN. The youth empowerment event returned to New York to celebrate youth and educators from across the Tri-State area. Taking place during the conclusion of the 73rd United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), WE Day UN is held in partnership with UN Women, UNAIDS and UN Global Compact. WE Day UN celebrates the year-round local and global acts of service taken by thousands of students from across the region.

2nd Annual Real To Reel Global Youth Film Festival Presented By Better Youth Once Again A Smashing Success

Filmmakers of the future from across the country, ages 14-23, participated at this year's 2nd Annual Real To Reel Global Youth Film Festival. The festival producers were excited at the results and are working to gear up for next year. The film festival was spearheaded by Better Youth executive director Syd Stewart and 23-year-old program director Johna Rivers, an emancipated foster youth from the community of Watts, California.

A nationwide casting search has begin for a planned Disney Channel Original Movie, HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 4, that will continue the story of the global sensation HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL - and introduce new East High Wildcats and their cross-town school rivals, the West High Knights.
