A new day is on the horizon at Theatre Horizon, a professional theatre company located 20 miles outside of Center City Philadelphia in Norristown, Pennsylvania. The company's 2018-19 season features more programming, more variety, and more choices for patrons of the award-winning company, including regional premieres and exciting events that highlight some of the best area talent. This season boasts a brand new model for Theatre Horizon, one in which four smaller, limited engagement events will be presented alongside two more traditional productions with longer runs. Combined, these six offerings will provide audiences programming all season long, and an opportunity to discover something new in Norristown.

Due to extremely strong ticket sales, Harvey Fierstein's Torch Song has been extended for two additional weeks of performances, now playing through Sunday, December 3. Directed by Mois s Kaufman, Torch Song begins previews on September 26 and officially opens on October 19 at Second Stage's Tony Kiser Theater (305 West 43rd Street).

The Sheen Center for Thought & Culture will present the New York premiere of Tectonic Theater Project's production of Uncommon Sense, a new play about living on the autism spectrum. Written by Anushka Paris-Carter and Andy Paris and directed by Andy Paris under the artistic direction of Tectonic's founder, Moises Kaufman, Uncommon Sense runs for five weeks only, October 25 to November 26, at The Sheen Center's Loreto Theatre (18 Bleecker Street, NYC).

Moises Kaufman's enduring drama of Oscar Wilde's three trials for homosexual behavior in late 19th Century England will be presented through a new lens with the casting of female actors in some of the roles traditionally played by men. Promethean's Artistic Director Brian Pastor, will who direct the production, made the announcement today.

Just last night, Tectonic Theater Project celebrated Tectonic At 25!, a benefit performance celebrating 25 years of groundbreaking theater. The star-studded evening, directed by Tectonic Theater Project founder Moises Kaufman and hosted by and starring two-time Academy Award winner Jane Fonda, took place at NYU Skirball Center for the Performing Arts (566 LaGuardia Place, New York, NY 10012).

Martin Sherman's BENT, a groundbreaking drama about the rare power of love in the most inhumane conditions, will be directed by Moises Kaufman, beginning previews tomorrow, July 15, and opening July 26 for a run through August 23, 2015, at the Center Theatre Group/Mark Taper Forum. Kansas City Repertory Theatre Artistic Director Eric Rosen today announced changes to its artistic staff for its 50th Anniversary Season. Associate Artistic Director Kyle Hatley, who is planning to return to Chicago over the coming year, will become Resident Director. As previously announced, his duties will include performing in An Iliad and developing and directing the world premiere of Nathan Jackson's Sticky Traps; in addition, he will support the annual production of A Christmas Carol, now directed by Jerry Genochio. Eric Rosen will direct The Santaland Diaries.

From April 24-27, 2014, Tectonic Theater Company will present The Laramie Project, by Moises Kaufman and Members of the Tectonic Theater Project and directed by Kelsey Guggenheim. Performance times are Thursday- Saturday at 7:30pm, Friday Mid-Day Matinee at 11am; and Sunday at 4:00pm. Performances will be held in the Harry Hope Theatre (Shafer Hall, ground floor, corner of High and Valley Streets, Willimantic).

"The Tallest Tree in the Forest", A Play with Music written and performed by Daniel Beaty, is being directed by Moises Kaufman in its World Premiere production at Center Theatre Group's Mark Taper Forum at the Music Center in Los Angeles.
