Rose Theater Welcomes Team for PRANCER This Holiday Season

Making its world debut on The Rose stage, Prancer, a stage play based on the cherished holiday film, features a heartwarming story and breathtaking puppetry to bring light to the holiday season.The show will run at The Rose, Nov. 25 through Dec. 18, 2016.

Ladies of THE ACTRESS Get Costume Fittings From Playwright Carrie Robbins

Dana Smith-Croll of The Actors Company Theatre & Jenne Vath (NYInnovative Theatre Award Nomination) join Mikel Sarah Lambert, former member of the Royal Shakespeare Company and Drama Desk nominee for the Mint Theatre's revival of D.H. Lawrence's The Daughter-in-Law, in THE ACTRESS, a new one act play by Carrie Robbins, to be presented at the Hudson Guild Theater on August 22, 24 & 27, 2016.  THE ACTRESS is directed by Paul Dobie and will be part of Thespis Productions 2016 Summerfest Theater Festival.  Days of the Giants LLC will co-produce.

Steven Hauck and Mikel Sarah Lambert to Appear in THE ACTRESS

?Broadway actor Steven Hauck will appear along with Mikel Sarah Lambert, former member of the Royal Shakespeare Company and Drama Desk nominee for the Mint Theatre's revival of D.H. A CLASS ACT Opens at New World Stages Tonight

After enjoying its World Premiere engagement earlier this spring at the Playroom Theater, A Class Act, the inaugural and relevant new play by attorney and playwright Norman Shabel, will now hold court at New World Stages  - Stage 5(340 West 50th Street - between 8th & 9th Avenues) for a summer run.  Produced by Eric Krebs, performances will begin on Saturday, July 9 at 8pm and continue through Sunday, September 4.

Theatre for a New Audience's A DOLL'S HOUSE Begins Previews Tonight

Previews are underway for Theatre for a New Audience's production of August Strindberg's THE FATHER in a new version by Scottish author David Greig commissioned by Theatre for a New Audience and performances start tonight, May 10, at 7:30pm for A DOLL'S HOUSE in an adaptation by Thornton Wilder not seen in New York since its Broadway premiere in 1937.

Previews begin Sunday, May 1, at 7:30pm for Theatre for a New Audience's production of August Strindberg's The Father in a new version by Scottish author David Greig commissioned by Theatre for a New Audience and Tuesday, May 10, at 7:30pm for A Doll's House in an adaptation by Thornton Wilder not seen in New York since its Broadway premiere in 1937.  The plays, both directed by Arin Arbus, Associate Artistic Director of Theatre for a New Audience, feature Maggie Lacey as Nora in A Doll's House and as Laura in The Father and John Douglas Thompson as Thorwald in A Doll's House and the Captain in The Father.

Theatre for a New Audience has announced complete casting for A DOLL'S HOUSE, in an adaptation by Thornton Wilder not seen in New York since its Broadway premiere in 1937, and August Strindberg's THE FATHER, in a new version by Scottish author David Greig (Strindberg's Creditors at BAM) commissioned by Theatre for a New Audience.

Gingold Theatrical Group to Host SHAW NEW YORK SYMPOSIUM Next Week

Gingold Theatrical Group's SHAW NEW YORK FESTIVAL, under the leadership of Artistic Director David Staller, hosts a SHAW NEW YORK SYMPOSIUM  on Monday, March 14 from 6-8pm, at the Bruno Walter Auditorium, New York Public Library (111 Amsterdam Avenue).
