From the creators of the record-breaking Broadway sensation The Producers comes this monster of a musical comedy, YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, coming alive at Bill Hanney's award winning North Shore Music Theatre (NSMT) from Tuesday, August 15and through Sunday, August 27.

On November 20 (3pm) and 22 (8pm), Opera Collective and “masterful” (OperaPulse) Music Director/Pianist Mila Henry present composer Milton Granger's The Proposal at St. Malachy's/The Actors' Chapel. Through this presentation of The Proposal, six of Opera Collective's members will bring to life a story of the exploration of one woman's mind as she comes face to face with five distinct parts of herself to make a life-altering decision. With original direction by Dona Vaughan's “finely detailed staging” (The Birmingham News), adapted by Rebecca Schuessler, Opera Collective seizes on this rare opportunity to present this one-act, filled with “abundant humor” (Pittsburgh City Paper). Bill Hanney's North Shore Music Theatre (NSMT) presents the annual production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL, and original, award-winning adaptation created just for NSMT audiences. Whether it's ghostly special effects, the dozens of revelers and musicians, or the cold scowl of Ebenezer Scrooge, there is something for everyone in A CHRISTMAS CAROL, playing 11 performances only from Friday, December 9 thru Wednesday, December 23, 2016.

San Francisco Opera Center Director Sheri Greenawald today announced the thirteen recipients of the 2017 Adler Fellowship. Nine singers, three pianist/apprentice coaches and one director will take part in the program-a multi-year performance-oriented residency offering advanced young artists intensive individual training, coaching and professional seminars, as well as a wide range of performance opportunities. Adler Fellows are selected from the young artists who have participated in the Merola Opera Program. The prestigious fellowship has nurtured the development of more than 175 young artists since its inception.
