David Geffen School of Drama at Yale will present its Design Showcase in New York City.

New York City Center has announced additional casting for Encores! The Light in the Piazza. Joining Tony winner Ruthie Ann Miles are Shereen Ahmed as Franca Naccarelli, Andréa Burns as Signora Naccarelli, Rodd Cyrus as Giuseppe Naccarelli, James D. Gish as Fabrizio Naccarelli, Ivan Hernandez as Signor Naccarelli, and introducing Anna Zavelson as Clara Johnson.

What did our critic think of WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF? at Yale Repertory Theatre? James Bundy, Artistic Director of Yale Repertory Theatre and Dean of Yale School of Drama, often helms the first production of a season, and that production is often a classic play: Tennessee Williams' A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE; Tom Stoppard's ARCADIA; Samuel Beckett's HAPPY DAYS; and Edward Albee's A DELICATE BALANCE, to name a few. This season, he directs what many consider to be Albee's masterpiece, WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF, and anyone who sees this production is fortunate indeed.

Yale Repertory Theatre opens its 2022–23 season with Edward Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? directed by James Bundy, performing October 6–29 at Yale Repertory Theatre (1120 Chapel Street). Opening Night is Thursday, October 13. Individual tickets are now on sale.

On Tuesday, Hoenig Theatre Artist Scholarship (HTAS) announced the Spring 2022 scholarship recipients. President Ann Hoenig and members of the board are proud to announce scholarships have been awarded to seven deserving theatre artists from across the nation so far this year.

T. Schreiber Theatre (TST) celebrates its 48th Anniversary with the first play of their 2016-17 Season, The Motherf**ker with the Hat by Stephen Adly Guirgis. The production is the first New York revival of the play since the Broadway run in 2011. Playwright Stephen Adly Guirgis won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 2015 for his play Between Riverside and Crazy and co-created the hit Netflix series The Get Down with Baz Luhrmann. 'The Widow of Tom's Hill' is now at 59E59 through November 15th. Written by Aleks Merilo and directed by Rachel Spaulding, the show stars Lucy Lavely and Derek Grabner in a gripping, dramatic story.

Hoebee- Producing Artistic Director, Todd Schmidt-Managing Director) Rising Star Awards for Excellence in High School Musical Theatre have ignited the careers of many notable performers, all of whom attended high school in New Jersey. Among the early nominees and winners are Academy Award® nominee Anne Hathaway, Tony® award winner Laura Benanti, and 2011 Tony® nominee, Nikki M. James. Paper Mill Playhouse hosted the 16th Annual Rising Star Awards- Presented by the Investors Savings Bank Foundation on Tuesday, June 7th at the Millburn Theater. Schools nominated for Outstanding Overall Musical and Leading Actor/Actress nominees performed at the event and award recipients were presented with a crystal award from Paper Mill Playhouse Rising Star Awards partner, Tiffany & Co. Westfield High School came out on top, winning nine Rising Star Awards (including Outstanding Overall Production of a Musical) and two scholarships.
