Tonight, August 31, the acclaimed singing group THE MIDTOWN MEN begin a three night run with the Houston Symphony. This marks the premiere of the symphonic version of the act's 2012/2013 "Sixties Hits" tour, which kicked off August 18th in Asbury Park.

THE MIDTOWN MEN are in New York for television appearances on Good Morning America, Good Day New York and New York Live before kicking off their 2012/2013 US tour in Asbury Park, NJ on August 18 at the Paramount Theater. Easton's State Theatre has announced its 2012-13 season- on sale to State Theatre Members Wed, August 1 (Box Office window at 453 Northampton Street opens at 6 AM; Online Ticketing and Phone lines open at Noon). Tickets will go on sale to the Public August 15th at 10 AM. Limit 6 tickets per Member per performance during Members Only sales. Membership to the Non-Profit State Theatre starts at $75, lasts one year and is tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

After a successful year-long run in Hollywood, Calif., Worst Ever Productions presents its first installment of the cult-hit evening of comedy WORST AUDITION EVER in New York City at Joe's Pub - produced by Christine Lakin, Alec Ledd, Daniel A. Miles, and Corri English. The ticket proceeds from this performance of WORST AUDITON EVER will be donated to The Actors Fund. Artists participating include Tyler Maynard (Altar Boyz, Little Mermaid), Kevin Duda (The Book of Mormon, Les Liaisons Dangereuses), Jena Friedman (writer for Late Night With David Letterman), Jenna Leigh Green (Wicked, For the Record: Baz Luhrman), John West (The Drowsy Chaperone, Newsical the Musical) and Cheryl Stern (La Cage Aux Folles, Candide).

Timing just seems right for the four men who make up Under the Streetlamp-the quartet that's taking American stages by storm this summer-to share their mantra that "retro never sounded so now!" with the legions of fans of "The American Radio Songbook of the '50's, '60's and '70's" while bringing a whole new audience over to their side of the musical dial. The four-Christopher Kale Jones, Shonn Wiley and the two Michaels: Cunio and Ingersoll-will be singing to the faithful when their first national tour brings them to Nashville's Tennessee Performing Arts Center for a June 14 performance (curtain's at 7:30 p.m.) at the James K. Polk Theatre.

The Palace Theatre opened its doors 85 years ago this June 2nd under the direction of Stamford resident Mary Vuono who owned and operated the theater as a vaudeville and motion-picture house in 1927. The essence of vaudeville was variety, and in that spirit, The Palace Theatre will bring a wide assortment of offerings to the Harman Stage for its 85th anniversary season.
