Founded by writer/director, JR Niles, The Hollywood Women's Film Institute has announced that they will host a film festival and panel series, with the film WHY NOT CHOOSE LOVE? A MARY PICKFORD MANIFESTO set as the opening night event at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences on June 13th. 

On the heels of a popular series of Forbes blogs on women's leadership, Glenn Llopis, Chairman and President of Glenn Llopis Group (GLG), a leading thought-leadership, human capital, and business strategy consultancy firm, will release his latest ebook, 'Women Leaders Must Dive In, Not Just Lean In: The Six Fundamental Truths of the Dive-In Principle,' on May 15th.

The California Women's Conference will present a panel titled "Legendary Ladies of Stage and Screen," giving patrons the chance to hear personal and professional stories from women who embraced their dreams and worked their advantages.

On Thursday, August 2, The California Women's Conference (CWC) launched their plans for this years highly anticipated conference on September 23rd & 24th at the Hotel Maya/Double Tree Hotel by Hilton in Long Beach. Among those in attendance were Marcia Cross, Frances Fisher, Tippi Hedren, Sharon Lawrence, Morgan Brittany, Kate Linder, Erin Murphy, Romi Dames, Donzaleigh Abernathy, Geri Jewell, Lee Purcell, Mother Love, Barbara Van Orden and Mary McDonough, Kami Cotler and Judy Norton of The Waltons fame.
