City Councilman Keith Powers, former Mayor Bill DeBlasio, former acting students of Wynn Handman and maybe a star or two will gather Monday, September 12 at 11:00 AM on the southeast corner of 7th Avenue and 56th Street for the naming of West 56th Street between Sixth and Seventh Avenues as Wynn Handman Way.

Gerard tells co-hosts Michael Riedel of the New York Post and Susan Haskins about the remarkable place in theater history occupied by Handman, Artistic Director and Co-Founder of The American Place Theatre and, at age 91, still one of New York's most sought-after acting teachers.
Stage Producer Sidney Lanier Dies at 90

According to The New York Times, Rev. Sidney Lanier, an experimental stage producer, passed away on Sept. 23 in Santa Barbara, Calif. He was 90.
