Having already extending the run of the show twice, Artists Rep will present Noel Coward's elegantly comedic classic, Blithe Spirit, this holiday season. This production is directed by Christopher Liam Moore, an Oregon Shakespeare Festival company member, who directed our 2013 hit comedy Red Herring, and who recently returned from a stint on Broadway with the Tony Award-winning All the Way. This production is directed by Christopher Liam Moore, an Oregon Shakespeare Festival company member, who directed our 2013 hit comedy Red Herring, and who recently returned from a stint on Broadway with the Tony Award-winning All the Way. Blithe Spirit starts previews tonight, November 25 and runs through December 21.

Lisa Harrow to Direct Portland Shakespeare Project's TWELFTH NIGHT Next Summer; 2015 Season Set

Portland Shakespeare Project (PSP) announces Lisa Harrow will direct the summer mainstage production of Twelfth Night, along with an expanded 2015 season. The company's fifth season will include three additional shows in 2015. On March 9, PSP will hold a fundraising performance featuring Oregon Shakespeare Festival's Robin Nordli's one-person show Virgins to Villains. In repertory with Twelfth Night, a yet-to-be announced staged reading will accompany the mainstage summer production. In October, PSP will present Jeffrey Hatcher's adaptation of Henry James's The Turn of the Screw, October 15 through November 1.Tickets for all four shows will go on sale January 5, 2015.

Grant Turner Named New Co-Artistic Director of Portland Shakespeare Project

Portland Shakespeare Project (PSP) has announced that Grant Turner, former Artistic Director of Northwest Classical Theatre Company (NWCTC), is joining the company as Co-Artistic Director. Turner will share responsibility for the overall artistic direction of PSP with Founding Artistic Director Michael Mendelson.

John Millington Synge's 1907 play is about Christy, a young man who shows up in an Irish village and announces that he has killed his father with a blow to the head. For some reason, the men of the town are impressed by this feat and immediately claim friendship with the boy, while all the women in the town eye him as potential husband material, particularly the young barmaid Pegeen Mike.
