Zachary Quinto to Star in SIDE MAN Reading, 8/28

Naked Angels in association with the Guild Hall will present a one night only benefit staged reading of long-time company member and celebrated playwright Warren Leight's Tony Award-winning play Side Man, starring Zachary Quinto and original Broadway cast members Jeff Binder, Kevin Geer, Michael Mastro, Angelica Torn, and Frank Wood. The reading will take place at Guild Hall in East Hampton, NY on Sunday, August 28 at 7pm. Proceeds will go towards Naked Angels' ongoing development of new work.

Melissa Leo to Lead Naked Angels' SIDE MAN Reading, 8/28

Academy and Golden Globe Award winner Melissa Leo will join the cast of the one night only benefit staged reading of celebrated playwright Warren Leight's Tony Award-winning play Side Man, presented by Naked Angels in association with the Guild Hall. As previously announced, the reading will also star acclaimed film, television and theater star Zachary Quinto and original Broadway cast members Jeff Binder, Kevin Geer, Michael Mastro, Angelica Torn, and Tony Award winner Frank Wood. The reading will take place at Guild Hall in East Hampton, NY on Sunday, August 28 at 7pm. Proceeds will go towards Naked Angels' ongoing development of new work.

Naked Angels will celebrate its 25th Anniversary as one of the most innovative theatre companies in New York with a spectacular Gala at Roseland Ballroom (239 West 52nd Street). Naked Angels company members Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick are Honorary Co-Chairs for the event. Conceived as an imagined history of Naked Angels - and promising to be bigger than all of the company's previous parties put together - One Big Ball will be a frivolous and inauthentic romp through Naked Angels' 25 years, written and performed by Naked Angels members, with many friends and surprise guests. Naked Angels company member and Tony Award-winner Joe Mantello directs the evening.

Last night, December 6, Award-winning actors Cynthia Nixon (Sex and the City, Rabbit Hole) and John Slattery (Mad Men, Rabbit Hole) starred in a one-night only play reading of the quirky comedy, Hate Mail, to benefit Opening Act, an innovative nonprofit that provides free after-school theater programs to New York City's most under-served public high schools. Mary Tyler Moore and Bernadette Peters will host the 12th annual BROADWAY BARKS!, a star-studded dog and cat adopt-a-thon benefiting New York City animal shelters and adoption agencies. The event, produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS is sponsored by the ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®) and Pedigree® Food for Dogs with additional sponsorship by the New York Times. The event will take place on Saturday, July 10th in Shubert Alley (located between 44th and 45th Streets, between Broadway and Eighth Avenue). The festivities begin at 3:30 p.m.; celebrity presentations of pets from citywide animal shelters will take place between 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. (Celebrity participation begins at 5:15 PM).
