Previews begin tonight, September 6, at 8PM for the Playwrights Horizons world premiere production of The Treasurer, a new play by Max Posner (Judy) and directed by three-time Lortel Award winner David Cromer (The Band's Visit, Our Town, Adding Machine). Commissioned by Playwrights Horizons, the play is the second production of the theater company's 2017/2018 Season.

On the evening of Saturday, September 30th, The Barn Players will be welcoming Jerry Torre, an actual cast member from the Grey Gardens documentary. Audience members may stay to participate in a post-show talkback with Mr. Torre, whose memory is also reimagined as a character in the award-winning musical.

Lawrence Edelson, Founder and Producing Artistic Director of American Lyric Theater (ALT), announced today that three composers, three librettists, and one dramaturg have been selected as Resident Artists to participate in the tenth anniversary season of the company's nationally acclaimed Composer Librettist Development Program (CLDP). The artists selected for this prestigious residency and training program are composers Shuying Li, Andy Tierstein, and Liliya Ugay; librettists Lorene Cary, Julian Crouch, and Lila Palmer; and dramaturg Antigoni Gaitana.

The Barn Players will present the award-winning musical 'Grey Gardens,' Friday, September 15th through Sunday, October 1st. Based on the true life story of Big Edie and Little Edie Bouvier Beale, this bold musical follows them on their hilarious and heartbreaking 30-year journey from high society to faded outcasts in a crumbling Long Island mansion.
