The Christmas season continues on Midlands stages!

Next up in the company's 20th Season, Cutting Ball Theater is reprising its original docu-play about its neighborhood for a community tour, The Tenderloin Tour: Prime Cuts from the 2012 Hit in January 2019.

Town Hall Theatre "Lost & Found" Season 2018/19 continues with our holiday offering: the West Coast Premiere of GREAT EXPECTATIONS, an adventure-packed adaptation of the classic Dickens' coming-of-age story by Gale Childs Daly. Theatre Bay Area, the third-largest regional theatre service organization in North America, held its fifth annual TBA Awards Celebration on Monday, November 5. The event took place at the Herbst Theatre with almost 700 people in attendance.

Paperclip Ltd, the production company co-founded by Yeardley Smith and Ben Cornwell, announces today that principal photography has begun on “Gossamer Folds,” a feature-length drama co-produced by Paperclip Ltd and Mill House Motion Pictures. The film tells the story of Gossamer, a transgender woman, who befriends her new neighbor, Tate. The friendship changes his life and the lives of their families, forever. The project will be directed by award-winning filmmaker and queer advocate Lisa Donato (Signature Move, There You Are, The Great Now What).

Trustus Theatre continues their 34th Season with the production of Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol, a play that portrays another side to the story behind Charles Dickens's A Christmas Carol. This play arrives at Trustus Theatre just in time for the holiday season, and will open up on Trustus Theatre's Main Stage on Friday, November 30 and will run through Saturday, December 22, 2018. Shows will run Thursday through Sunday for three packed weeks of holiday laughter and cheer.

On Friday, December 14 at 7:00 p.m., the Carnegie Hall Notables-a membership and ticket program for music enthusiasts in their 20s and 30s-presents Jamie Barton in an exclusive concert in Zankel Hall for Notables members only. The concert features the award-winning mezzo-soprano alongside pianist Kathleen Kelly performing Lee Hoiby's Bon Appetit!-a 20-minute operatic scene for mezzo-soprano and piano based on an actual Julia Child cooking show-with additional selections to be announced from the stage.

Next up in Contra Costa Civic Theatre (CCCT)'s 59th season is the Bay Area premiere of Ripcord, directed by Daren AC Carollo. Pulitzer Prize-winner David Lindsay-Abaire's sparkling new comedy makes its Bay Area premiere November 16 through December 9 at CCCT.
