Golden Globe winner and Emmy Award nominee Robin Wright returns as President of the United States in the sixth and final season of the award-winning landmark series House of Cards.  The sixth season premiere is November 2nd.

Trustus Theatre is bringing the latest work of South Carolina playwright, Jon Tuttle, to their Main Stage this summer. Boy About Ten, commissioned by the Trustus Playwrights' Festival, is a savage farce about what happens to the kids when the parents don't grow up. It's about the effect parents' choices have on their children-everyone wants to love and be loved, but sometimes those attempts at achieving two seemingly simple goals can go terribly wrong. Academy Award® nominees Diane Lane and Greg Kinnear as well as Cody Fern join Wright this season alongside Emmy Award nominee Michael Kelly, Jayne Atkinson, Academy Award® nominee Patricia Clarkson, Emmy Award Nominee Constance Zimmer, Derek Cecil, Campbell Scott and Boris McGiver in the sixth and final season.  House of Cards executive producers are Melissa James Gibson, Frank Pugliese, Robin Wright, David Fincher?, Joshua Donen?, Dana Brunetti?, Eric Roth?, Michael Dobbs? and Andrew Davies?. The series was created by Beau Willimon? and is produced by Donen/Fincher/Roth, with MRC as the studio, for Netflix.

The sixth and final season of House of Cards has officially wrapped. Robin Wright broke the news in an Instagram post thanking the cast and crew on Friday, accompanied by a fierce new pic for Season 6.

The American Theatre Wing and The Village Voice announce that Tony Award-nominated and three-time Obie-winning actress Kathleen Chalfant will receive a special Obie Award for Lifetime Achievement at the 63rd Annual Obie Awards.

Town Hall Theatre presents Alan Ayckbourn's WOMAN IN MIND! A dark comedy, WOMAN IN MIND examines what happens when run-down housewife Susan dreams of a perfect family, and after a freak accident involving a rake, her dreams become a reality. WOMAN IN MIND opened on March 3rd and will continue to run through March 24th.

Contra Costa Civic Theatre (CCCT) continues its 58th season with Christopher Durang's comic mash-up of the plays of Anton Chekhov, Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, directed by Diana Trotter in her CCCT debut.  Winner of the Tony, Drama Desk, and New York Drama Critics awards for Best Play, CCCT's production plays April 13 through May 6.

CBC and SundanceTV today announced casting for the dramatic eight-part miniseries UNSPEAKABLE, which chronicles the tainted blood scandal beginning in the 1980's. Acclaimed actors Sarah Wayne Callies (Colony, The Walking Dead), Shawn Doyle (Bellevue, Big Love), Michael Shanks (Stargate SG-1, Saving Hope) and Camille Sullivan (The Disappearance, The Man in the High Castle) will lead the series. Production on UNSPEAKABLE begins spring 2018 in Vancouver, BC, for broadcast on CBC in Canada and SundanceTV in the U.S.  

On the infectious, hard driving title track of her forthcoming full length debut 'Problem Child', the multi-talented 16 year old Nashville based singer-songwriter Sammie Harney, uncovers the irony of being called 'Problem Child' when she knows otherwise. The sometimes misunderstood teenager who sports blue hair, black attire and a penchant for mischief takes it all in stride. 'I think it's important to note that I'm not actually a problem child - it's just an ironic description of me.'
