EgoPo Classic Theater presents the Tennessee Williams one-act, And Tell Sad Stories of the Death of Queens, with performances at the Philadelphia Fringe Festival this September 5-8, 2019.  EgoPo Artistic Director, Lane Savadove, directs this obscure production rarely produced on the stage, starring Rob Tucker (11th Hour's City of Angels, The Arden's The Light Princess) in his EgoPo premiere.  Written in 1957 and first produced in 2004, And Tell Sad Stories... invites you to enjoy a glass of champagne as you step into the world of a queer interior decorator looking for the one thing that we all seek: love. Broadway's Tony Award-winning Best Musical, Dear Evan Hansen, is currently in its third record-smashing year at the Music Box Theatre. Following the success of the Broadway production, a national tour launched soon after, bringing the story across North America. Open, unrehearsed and off the record, invited speakers will swap anecdotes and share memories about Michael Kahn's 33 years directing at the Shakespeare Theatre Company. The discussions focus on three distinct eras in STC's history and chronicle D.C.'s changing theatre scene. This second Michael Kahn and Friends: Off the Record will focus primarily on the formation of the Shakespeare Theatre Company in its second location: the Lansburgh Theatre (1992-2006).
