Publick Theatre Boston returns to the familiar, eclectic worlds of English gardens, strained family relations, and quantum physics with the New England premiere of Charlotte Jones's award-winning comedy Humble Boy. Performances are April 9 through May 2, 2009 at the Plaza Theatre at the Boston Center for the Arts, 539 Tremont Street in Boston's South End. Performances are Thursdays and Fridays at 8:00 pm, Saturdays at 3:00 pm and 8:00 pm and Sundays at 3:00pm. Press Performance is Sunday April 12 at 3pm. Tickets: $35-$32 (Preview Performances April 9-12 All Tickets $20).

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey kicks off its 2009 Season with a world premiere stage adaptation of Around the World in Eighty Days. Adapted for the stage by Bonnie J. Monte from the beloved novel by Jules Verne, this inventive production is an exhilarating treat for people of all ages. Around the World in Eighty Days begins performances on April 29 and continues through May 24 at the Shakespeare Theatre's Main Stage - The F. M. Center Repertory Company?s Artistic Director Michael Butler unveiled the company's 43rd subscription season. Running from September 3, 2009 to June 26, 2010, the season will be expanding Center Rep?s programming to include eight productions to be performed in all three theatres of the Lesher Center for the Arts. From the suspense of Agatha Christie to the music of Elvis Presley, Center Rep?s 09-10 season will delight audiences while also featuring the works of Caryl Churchill, No?l Coward, Reduced Shakespeare Company, Michael Frayn and five-time Emmy Award nominee Harold Gould. The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey today announced a change to its previously announced 2009 Season. In announcing the change, Bonnie J. Monte, artistic director of The Shakespeare Theatre said, 'Recently, we announced an exhilarating and ambitious line-up of plays for 2009, and we are very excited about bringing these great works to life. However, in the last few weeks, like many non-profits, we've been informed of the loss of several grants from the corporate sector. We are committed to controlling costs and securing our future in these tough times, and therefore, we have made the decision to replace Shakespeare's Timon of Athens with Moli?re's The School for Wives.
