The Theatre School at DePaul University is pleased to present ARABIAN NIGHTS as the inaugural production in the Sondra & Denis Healy Theatre at The Theatre School building, located at Racine and Fullerton on the Lincoln Park Campus. The Healy Theatre is a 100-seat flexible theatre, located on the fourth floor of The Theatre School. Its distinguishing feature is the completely transparent north wall overlooking Fullerton Avenue. Dominic Cooke's adaptation of Arabian Nights is directed by Kevin Kingston, as part of The Theatre School's New Directors Series. It premieres on Friday, November 1, and runs through Sunday, November 10, 2013. Performances are Wednesdays through Saturdays at 7:30 PM and Sundays at 2 PM. Previews are on October 30 and 31, at 7:30 PM.
JERSEY BOYS, the smash hit musical, is now extending its booking period from March 2014 to October 2014 to coincide with its transfer to the Piccadilly Theatre. The last performance at the Prince Edward Theatre will be on Sunday 9 March and the show will re-open at the Piccadilly Theatre on Friday 14 March.
CBS has confirmed that Cote De Pablo will exit the long-running hit naval series at the beginning of the upcoming eleventh season. De Pablo's contract expired expired at the end of season 10.

As it does every year, ticket sales are up all around on Broadway as a result of the Sunday night's Tony Awards, with advance ticket sales for Best Musical winner Kinky Boots up to $10 million and up to $21 million for fellow nominee Matilda. According to the New York Times, Kinky Boots will launch a national tour from Las Vegas in September 2014, while Matilda producers have yet to decide whether the British import will tour the US.

On Monday, May 13 Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for Theatre honored Ruth and Stephen Hendel and Ming Cho Lee at their Gala Evening. The evening was held at the Angel Orensanz Foundation (172 Norfolk Street) in New York City, cocktails started at 6pm and dinner started at 7pm. Jessica Hecht was the emcee of the evening; the Gala co-chairs were playwright Lydia R. Diamond and interior designer Jasmine M. Keller. The Gala honorary chairs were Anne Kaufman, Obie award-winning director; Nelle Nugent, Broadway producer; Judith O. Rubin, chairman of the board of Playwrights Horizons; and Liz Smith, gossip columnist. The event hosted 200 guests and surpassed its financial goal. Scroll down for photos from the gala!

On Thursday, March 21, 2013 the smash-hit show JERSEY BOYS celebrated its fifth anniversary in Las Vegas by presenting a star to Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons on the "Las Vegas Walk of Stars" outside of the show's home, Paris Las Vegas. Original Four Seasons group members Frankie Valli and Bob Gaudio were at the event to receive the commemorative star. It was the 64th star to be unveiled on Las Vegas Boulevard. According to the New York Post, Tommy Mottola is diving headlong into the Broadway business with plans to produce a musical adaptation of SUPER FLY and a to-be-revealed 'celebrity' centered show, in addition to his previously announced production of A BRONX TALE, directed by Robert De Niro.
