The Meeting* hosted by Justin Sayre, the acclaimed comedy/variety show, will return to JOE'S PUB at The Public Theater on Sunday, May 17 at 9:30 PM to conclude the Spring 2015 Season. The Meeting* has been called 'delicious and delightfully droll' by The New York Post and 'hilarious and sardonic' by The Village Voice. A story for Slate.com called the evening 'so deliciously icy that it left me shivering with fear and delight.' The Fall 2014 shows sold out after a New York Times 'Arts & Leisure' piece ran last September. The May show will be a celebration of The Scissor Sisters with special guests Amber Martin, Edgar Oliver, Tammy Faye Starlight, Michael Cavadias, Bridget Barkan, Jamie Wright, Angela DiCarlo, Philip Taratula and Brendan Michael. David Nagler serves as the show's Music Director.
The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) announced today that 'Jeopardy!' game show icon, Alex Trebek and Florence Henderson, stage and television star of 'Oklahoma' and 'The Brady Bunch,' will host the Daytime Creative Arts Emmy® Awards today, April 24, 2015. The reception and presentation will take place at the Universal Hilton in Los Angeles beginning at 5:30 p.m.
As production gets underway in Vancouver, The Walt Disney Studios announced it will co-produce and co-finance Steven Spielberg's “The BFG.” This marks the three-time Academy Award winner's first time directing a Disney-branded movie.

THE LAST SHIP played its final performance on Broadway on Saturday, January 24, but fans still have another chance to catch the cast in action. Tonight, March 2 (9:30PM), they will reunite at 54 Below for 'Songs in the Quay of Life: THE LAST SHIP Company in Concert.' The original cast and band will celebrate their run with an eclectic evening themed around seafaring songs. Proceeds will go to support Wallsend Boys Club in the north of England, which was founded by shipbuilders.

Sundance Institute this evening announced the feature film Jury, Audience and other special awards of the 2015 Sundance Film Festival. The awards, celebrating artistry, innovation and adventure in independent filmmaking, were presented at the Festival's Awards Ceremony, hosted by Tig Notaro in Park City, Utah.
HBO now has the rights to 3 1/2 MINUTES, a documentary depicting racism-based violence.
Due to weather conditions and the transportation emergency, 54 Below is canceling all shows for both Monday January 26 and Tuesday January 27.
