The Royal Shakespeare Company and The Dodgers today announced the casting of the title role in the RSC's eagerly anticipated Broadway-bound musical Matilda the Musical. Each of the four girls will play the role at difference performances: Sophia Gennusa, Oona Laurence, Bailey Ryon and Milly Shapiro. Each girl will be making her Broadway debut. The producers of Roald Dahl's MATILDA THE MUSICAL announced today that Olivier Award-winner Bertie Carvel will reprise the role of Miss Trunchbull in the Broadway production of the Royal Shakespeare Company's eagerly anticipated musical which begins performances on March 4 and opens on April 11 at the Shubert Theatre (235 West 44th Street). Carvel received rave reviews for his iconic performance and won the 2012 Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Musical.

Vuguru, an independent studio founded by Michael Eisner that develops and finances award winning scripted content for digital and international platforms, and AOL today announced the US premiere of GREETINGS FROM HOME, a family comedy series from BermanBraun.

Deadline has revealed an exclusive trailer for Michael Eisner's Vuguru and BermanBraun new comedy web series GREETINGS FROM HOME that premieres on AOL on October 1. Yesterday, June 4, Broadway veterans united for a fundraiser with President Barack Obama and special guest President Bill Clinton at the New Amsterdam Theater, titled- BARACK ON BROADWAY. Featuring direction by George C. Wolfe, the event was hosted by Margo Lion, Thomas Schumacher, Michael David, Lauren Mitchell, Roger Berlind, and Paul Boskin. Rob Berman was music director and John Guare acted as script consultant.

Next month kicks off with the opening of Metamorphoses: Drawings by Erin Anfinson, Kristi Hargrove, Mark Hosford, and Chris Scarborough in the Conte Community Arts Gallery, and is shortly followed by the opening of Constable: Oil Sketches from the Victoria and Albert Museum on June 22. The Frist has collaborated with Watkins College on an quilting workshop with edgy quilter Ben Venom and the second installment of Frist Fridays on June 29th features Sam Bush with special guest Lera Lynn.
