The Frozen North American tour returns tonight, September 10, for 'the first time in forever' in Buffalo. The production resumes performances at Shea's Buffalo Theatre for a two-week premiere engagement through Friday, September 24, 2021.
In a Broadway first, The Lion King will exclusively partner with TikTok to stream the production’s iconic opening number, “Circle Of Life,” on September 14 in celebration of the hit show’s return to the stage, 18 months after the shutdown of Broadway.
I would hesitant a guess to say that most of us know about Disney’s colossus beast, Frozen. Made famous when it debuted during Christmas 2013, it quickly became one of the company’s audience’s animated classics. Since its release we’ve had sequels, spinoffs, merchandise and now, a hit musical – which originally premiered in Denver, before opening in Broadway, and now recently landing in London’s West End. Loosely inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s 19th Century tale, The Snow Queen, Disney’s production turns much of the original story on its head.

Disney Theatrical Productions, under the direction of Thomas Schumacher, and Playhouse Square have announced casting for The Lion King North American tour, which will return to the road this fall and resume performances in Cleveland. The two-week return engagement at Playhouse Square will begin Friday, October 1, 2021.
Zions Bank Broadway at the Eccles has announced that Broadway will return to the Eccles Theater, 2 days earlier. Due to recent scheduling shifts, Disney’s Frozen will begin performances in downtown Salt Lake City on Tuesday, Oct. 26 to launch the beginning of the shows presented by Zions Bank Broadway at the Eccles.

Hennepin Theatre Trust has announced that Broadway will come to the Hennepin Theatre District one week early. Due to recent scheduling shifts, Disney’s Frozen will begin performances in downtown Minneapolis on Thursday, Sept. 30 to launch the 2021-2022 Bank of America Broadway on Hennepin season.
