Theatre Gargantua's THE SACRIFICE ZONE Continues Through 11/30

Toronto's acclaimed Theatre Gargantua (TG) opened the world premiere of The Sacrifice Zone on November 14, marking the Canadian debut of Australian playwright Suzie Miller of The Uncertainty Principle and the culmination of the company's tenth cycle of work. The Sacrifice Zone runs to November 30, 2013 at the Factory Studio Theatre.

Southern Rep in partnership with MESA Production Company is proud to present 33 VARIATIONS, Wednesday, September 11 through Sunday, September 29 at the Contemporary Arts Center (900 Camp Street). Written by Moises Kaufman, the 5-time Tony Award Nominated 33 VARIATIONS is the story about a modern-day music scholar driven to solve one of classical music's enduring riddles - the mystery behind Beethoven's Diabelli Variations - even as her own health and relationships crumble. A story about familial love, romantic desire, and artistic obsession, this extraordinary play examines what it means to lose the things that define us, and what we end up gaining in their stead.

CNN and HBO Top 19th Annual NAMIC Vision Awards; Winners Announced!

The National Association for Multi-ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC), today announced winners of the 19th Annual NAMIC Vision Awards. Presented in partnership with NAMIC – Southern California, the awards recognize original, multi-platform television programming that depicts the lives, spirit and contributions of people of color and best reflects the diversity of the global viewing audience. The winners were presented at a live event hosted at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood, California on July 11, 2013.

SUNFISH Takes Top Jury Honor at Daegu International Musical Festival

SUNFISH, an American musical by the songwriting team of Michael Cooper and Hyeyoung Kim was awarded the top Jury Honor for Music Theater Production at the Daegu International Musical Festival (DIMF) on July 8, 2013. DIMF is the largest international Musical Theatre Festival in the world. SUNFISH was invited to open the Festival on June 17, 2013, and was one of over fifteen Official Invitational productions from all over the world. It was previously presented at the NAMT Festival, TRU Musical Series, and Disney/ASCAP Workshop with Stephen Schwartz.

Sunfish to be Featured at Lincoln Center Music Series, 5/20

Sunfish, the musical by the award-winning songwriting team of Michael Cooper and Hyeyoung Kim, will be featured as part of the Broadway's Future Songwriters Series at the Bruno Walter Auditorium, Lincoln Center in Manhattan, on Monday, May 20th at 6 pm. Songs from Sunfish will be sung by a cast soon to be announced. The evening is produced and directed by John Zindarsic. The performance is presented by Arts and Artists at St. Pauls, and is free and open to the public.
