ZOMBIE Screened at Cleveland Film Festival, 4/1

New York: ZOMBIE will be screened at the Cleveland International Film Festival on Friday, April 1 at 11:15 pm. ZOMBIE Wins Award at Washington DC Film Festival

ZOMBIE has won the Best Short Film (Horror) award from the Washington DC Independent Film Festival. The ZOMBIE team of director Thomas Caruso, lead actor/screenwriter Bill Connington, and producer Michael Cooper, attended the screening of the film on March 7th in Washington. ZOMBIE is a short film based on the award-winning play penned by and acted in by Connington. It was presented at the New York International Fringe Festival, Off-Broadway at Theater Row for an extended run, and at the Gerald W. Lynch Theater in New York. ZOMBIE is based on the award-winning novella by famous American author Joyce Carol Oates. The ZOMBIE team is currently developing the property as a feature film.

Northwestern Seeks Tunesmiths for Mercer Songwriters Project

Talented young songwriters and writing teams working in any popular music genre are encouraged to apply for a no-fee program presented by The Johnny Mercer Foundation and the American Music Theatre Project (AMTP) at Northwestern University this summer.

ZOMBIE Team Attends Independent Film Festival

Bestselling author and American literary giant Joyce Carol Oates, who recently penned her 116th book A WIDOW'S STORY about the death of her husband of 47 years, has had her novella ZOMBIE adapted into a short film. Written by Bill Connington, and directed by Thomas Caruso, the 19 minute film will be screened at the Washington DC Independent Film Festival on Monday, March 7th at 7 pm. The screening will be held at the Gala Theatre, 3333 14th Street NW, Washington DC, 20010. Metro stop: Columbia Heights. Tickets are $10. ZOMBIE will be shown with the films SISSY and AMBER ROSE as part of a program entitled 'Hot Topics - Dirty Little Secrets.' The director, Thomas Caruso, and the screenwriter/lead actor Bill Connington, will take part in an audience discussion after the screening. WONDER BOY, a new play coming to The Temple Theater, stars comedian and storyteller Bob Stromberg, best known for originating the role of 'Bobby Bean' in, and co-authoring, TRIPLE ESPRESSO - A HIGHLY CAFFEINATED COMEDY. But this time, he goes solo, taking theater-goers on a captivating journey through life and art. The production will close Feb. 27, 2011.
