The Gallery Players' Overtures New Musical Reading Series presents staged readings of the award-winning musical comedy WE ARE THE TIGERS: A NEW MUSICAL on February 6th and February 7th at 7pm.

The fall 2016 season of /A•STIR/ which included development of five new musicals, wrapped this week. The mission of the /A•STIR/ is to introduce movement as a narrative tool to writers, composers, directors, and producers of projects in the early writing and development stages. On Monday, September 26, 2016, The New York Innovative Theatre Foundation, the organization who for the past 12 years has been dedicated to celebrating Off-Off-Broadway, announced the 2016 recipients at its annual awards ceremony, The IT Awards. Hosted by a crowd favorite, Jason Kravits and directed by award winning director and sound designer, DeLisa White the ceremony took place from 7pm to 10pm at the Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College.

New York Theatre Barn, which incubates, develops, and produces new musicals that tell untold stories, today announced that the company will present 'The White Rose' and 'Matches' on Monday, September 19 as a part of its New Works Series.

The new musical, THE LAST WORD will be presented at the Duke on 42nd Street, a NEW 42ND STREET project (229 W 42nd St) . THE LAST WORD is written by Brett Sullivan (Billy Elliot Live Film Director) and will be directed by Michael Bello (Doctor Zhivago), choreography by Nick Kenkel(Gotta Dance, Legally Blonde) and Musical Supervisor is Conrad Helfrich (Dirty Dancing). WE ARE THE TIGERS recently completed an artistic residency at New York City's Musical Theatre Factory, where it presented two sold-out workshop performances in August, 2015.
