Musical Theatre Factory (MTF) will present a developmental presentation of WE ARE THE TIGERS with book, lyrics and music by Rebekah M. Allen.

A new school year means a new beginning for the Tigers, the worst-ranked high school cheerleading team in the state. But when an innocent team-building sleepover becomes a mysterious murder scene, the Tigers will need more than just team spirit to survive the night -- and each other. With an original pop/rock score, We Are The Tigers is a new comedy with a delightfully dark twist on the high school experience.

The show was previously presented in concert at 54 Below in January 2015.

The cast includes Jenny Baker (Kate), Julie Ann Earls (Eva), Latoya Edwards (Chess), Natasha Edwards (Farrah), Melissa Rose Hirsch (Cairo), Danny Harris Kornfeld (Clark), Caroline Lellouche (Annleigh), Anna Marr (Mattie), Emily Olcott (Reeses) and Mia Weinberger (Riley). We Are The Tigers is being directed by Michael Bello, with musical direction by Patrick Sulken and choreography by Jacob Brent.

Rebekah M. Allen is a writer, composer, and lyricist living in New York City. Her work has been featured at the New York Musical Theatre Festival, the Musical Theatre Factory, the York Theatre, the Boo Festival (Award Winner), and the Songwriters' Salon, and has been showcased at 54 Below in We Are The Tigers: In Concert. Her original full-length projects include We Are The Tigers: A New Musical and Remission: A Musical. Rebekah is currently a lyricist in the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theater Workshop.

WE ARE THE TIGERS takes place on August 2nd & 3rd at 8pm at 250 West 40th Street, fourth floor. $10 advance reservations can be made online at mtf.nyc/events.

Musical Theatre Factory is a volunteer-based organization dedicated to helping musical theatre artists develop and present new work in a collaborative environment free from the pressures of critical or commercial success.
